Watching Penny walk away, Indeedee trudged back to the farm, brow furrowed in worry.
At the gate, it spotted Ditto waddling out of the Breeding Hut.
"Ditto~"
They faced each other—then Ditto instantly morphed into an exact copy of Indeedee.
"Indeedee!" It waved cheerfully.
"…Dee." Indeedee, too preoccupied to care, hurried toward the cabin.
"Indeedee—" Ditto called again. When ignored, it sulked off to Shane.
"Morning, Indeedee," Shane greeted, fresh from cleaning the coop. He blinked as "Indeedee's" eyes suddenly turned into comical dot-dot eyes.
POOF!
A strange glow erupted—and "Indeedee" began distorting. Human legs sprouted beneath its body.
"INDEEDEE?!" Indeedee spun around just as its own doppelgänger warped further.
Shane stumbled back, wide-eyed, as the creature shot toward Ron's cabin like a comet.
"…" Shane exhaled shakily, wiping sweat. "Pokémon are weird. This is totally normal." He retreated to the barn, muttering reassurances.

Indeedee stared at the now-humanoid Ditto—and had an idea.
"Indeedee."
Can you become Ron?
"Ditto?"
Ditto concentrated, recalling Ron's features.
POOF!
It grew taller, sprouting human limbs—until a perfect (if stiff) Ron stood before Indeedee.
"On—ly…" "Ron" rasped, crouching to eye level. "Ten… min—utes."
"Indeedee." Ten minutes? That's enough!
Indeedee patted "Ron's" shoulder and dashed to the kitchen.
From eavesdropping on Penny's thoughts, it knew her favorites:
- Roots Platter (Cave Carrots + Winter Roots)
- Diamonds & Emeralds
- Books (but none were handy)
A humble dish—but gems would elevate it.
As the medley finished, Indeedee turned—only to see "Ron's" eyes pop into dot-dot eyes. His limbs began shrinking.
"Indee—Indeedee!"
Ditto panicked, reverting instantly.
"Indee." Not. One. Word.
Indeedee snatched the brewery clock (to track time) and marched toward town, Ditto trailing.

Yesterday's Pale Ale sales meant extra cash in today's mailbox. Ron had authorized Indeedee to spend freely—how much could a Pokémon possibly blow? At most, treat the crew to Gus's saloon.
So Indeedee carried 50,000G—a fortune for a birthday gift.
Passing a street stall, it spotted a sign. Though illiterate, it sensed the mental echo of passersby: "Traveling Bookstore Ahead."
"Eevee!" It nudged Ditto. Transform!
Ditto became "Ron" again.
Indeedee approached the vendor.
"This," "Ron" croaked.
"How much?"
"For sale."
"Horse: The Book. 25,000G," the vendor said, baffled by "Ron's" stilted speech.
"Eevee." Can you lower the price?
"Nope," the vendor snapped, not looking up.
Indeedee listened—his listed price was his bottom line. It tapped "Ron's" leg, handing over coins.
"We'll… take it."
The moment "Ron" grabbed the book, POOF! His eyes turned dot-dot.
Before the vendor could react—FLASH!—both vanished, leaving only money on the ground.
"…Weird town," the vendor muttered, pocketing the cash. He leaned against his hot-air balloon basket. "Maybe skip Pelican Town next time."

In the woods, Indeedee stared at its paws.
It didn't know Teleport.
Must've triggered it in panic. Now, the trick eluded it.
Sighing, it turned—only to freeze.
"Ron" stood there, dot-dot eyes unblinking.
"…Indeedee." Next time your eyes glitch… revert immediately.
"Dee." Too creepy.
POOF! Ditto returned to its true form.
Gift secured, Indeedee repackaged the book with gems and tubers.
Good news: They'd teleported near the library.
Bad news: Five voices echoed inside.
Risk: Someone might talk to "Ron"—and Ditto couldn't hold a conversation.
Indeedee's head throbbed. But the gift had to be delivered! If it read minds fast enough, it could redirect attention before anyone noticed.
It patted Ditto.
"Indee." Get ready.
"Indeedee!" Let's go!
