Chapter 182 - Chapter 182: Sailor's Little Sulk

Meanwhile, at the farm.

Ron had finished cleaning up everything and was about to go to bed when he noticed something seemed slightly off about the bed.

Looking closely, Ron finally spotted the problem.

Tonight, Sailor had moved to sleep with Indeedee. Probably sulking because his request hadn't been fulfilled, he was currently curled up into a ball on the bed in front of a helpless-looking Indeedee.

"Indeedee?"

"Rattata!"

Sailor called out from under the covers, then tugged the blanket again, wrapping himself up tightly.

"——" Ron fell silent for a moment, then lay down on the bed.

Froakie observed from the edge of the pillow for a while, then snuggled up against Ron and fell asleep.

The next day.

Ron had originally thought that after resting for the night, Sailor's anger would dissipate by the next day. But it didn't. Sailor got up on his own, put on his sailor hat, pulled a piece of bread from the refrigerator, and left.

"Indeedee?"

Indeedee stared at Sailor's retreating figure. Ron was silent for a moment, then patted Indeedee's head: "Don't worry about this matter."

"Indeedee." Indeedee paused, then nodded.

Although still sulking, as a mature Rattata, he didn't let his emotions affect his work. As usual, he led Geodude to collect the day's catch from the Crab Pots and finished the day's work. Only then did he angrily pocket a gem he'd found in the trash today and head to Lewis's house.

From his nightly observations, he knew this was the person who sold the farm's goods.

"Come in," Lewis called out. After waiting a moment without hearing the door open, he walked to the entrance and pulled it open.

Expecting some prank, he looked around and finally spotted Sailor by his feet.

"Ah, Sailor, it's you." Lewis paused, looking at the gem Sailor held up in his hand, and hesitated: "Is this... for me?"

Sailor shook his head with a serious expression.

"——You want me to help you sell it?" Lewis continued guessing.

Seeing Sailor nod, he smiled. He could afford this amount, so he took the gem and gave Sailor 300g.

The selling price for this emerald was 250g, but Lewis generously added an extra 50g.

Sailor took the money, stuffed it into the small pocket on his body, bowed to him, and turned to leave.

Lewis couldn't help but smile. After watching Sailor depart, he checked the time and realized it was time for his daily patrol, so he headed out.

As usual, he needed to stop by the fish shop. As he walked toward the beach, he ran into Ron coming out of the fish shop.

Ron was currently carrying an anchor in his arms. Upon seeing Lewis, he greeted him.

"What's that?" Lewis couldn't help asking.

"Apparently Willy fished it up while fishing before. Planning to hang it at home." Ron showed him the anchor in his hand. He'd also bought some pirate-themed wallpaper from Robin, plus a porthole window.

Although he didn't plan to decorate the entire room that way, letting Sailor choose one wall to decorate would be no problem.

After all, everyone in the cabin had to live there, so he couldn't satisfy every Pokémon's personalized needs.

"I see." Lewis nodded and went straight into the fish shop.

Meanwhile, Sailor took out the money he'd saved up and counted it. Finding it was just enough for a bus ticket, he inserted the money into the ticket machine.

Pam, sitting in the driver's seat, was startled, then watched as Sailor climbed onto the bus.

"Going to see Sandy?" Pam asked.

"Rattata!" Sailor nodded politely.

Though a bit strange, Pam didn't think much of it. She started the bus and drove toward the desert.

Soon, the bus stopped at the edge of the desert. Sailor got off through the door, greeted the Nacli rolling in the sand nearby, and ran toward the Oasis.

Sandy was currently yawning behind the counter. Noticing a white figure approaching, she rubbed her eyes incredulously. "Ah, Sailor, what are you doing here?"

Saying this, she quickly went forward to open the door for him. Her gaze lingered on Sailor's strange expression, and after a long while, she asked with some disbelief: "Are you having a fight with Ron?"

"Rattata." Sailor paused, but still nodded.

Seeing this, Sandy moved a stool beside the counter, then dug out some aged mead from the bottom of her stash. She found two cups, poured one, and handed it to Sailor.

"What happened?" Sandy's listening posture allowed Sailor to quickly start talking freely.

Even though Sandy couldn't understand a single word, she still chimed in with Sailor, even shouting along when he became indignant.

"Exactly! Too much! How could they do that!"

"Rattata rattata!" Sailor gulped down the cup, then began complaining non-stop again.

She stared at Sailor's fluffy face, smiled after a moment, and patted his head.

After the Stardew Valley Fair, she hadn't spoken to anyone for nearly a week. Even though she couldn't understand, only hearing "rattata rattata" complaints, she found it incredibly interesting.

"Rattata rattata."

"You've had it rough," she said with a smile. "Then why not just move in with me? I promise, I'll listen to everything you say."

"Ra——Rattata?" Sailor suddenly reacted, raising his head to stare at Sandy. After a long while, he shook his head repeatedly, even climbing down from the chair on the spot, then wriggled toward the door at an extremely slow speed.

The mead tasted like sweet water, and Sailor had drunk quite a bit just now. So although Sailor thought he was leaving swift as the wind, in reality, he was moving slower than a snail.

Before he could crawl to the door, he passed out from the alcohol's effects.

Sandy smiled, got up, picked up Sailor, and walked straight toward the bus stop.

Meanwhile, at the farm.

When it was time to eat, Ron realized Sailor still hadn't returned to the farm.

Just as he felt a twitch in his brow, he heard footsteps at the door.

Poking his head out from the cabin, he immediately saw Sandy walking in from outside the farm, carrying the drunken Sailor in her arms.

"I've come to bring him home," Sandy said softly. "Seems like he suffered a great grievance.

But even so, he didn't think about just giving up on Ron and moving in with Sandy instead.

Sailor stirred in Sandy's arms. Ron took him with a wry smile, then asked: "Have you had dinner? Want to join us?"

Sandy paused, then smiled and agreed.
