Chapter 250 - Chapter 250: Gifts and Visiting Leah

"What?" Ramos didn't hear clearly and asked again.

"Nothing, nothing." Haley stuffed the tea back into her bag and smiled at Ramos. "The tea is delicious."

"I'm glad you like it. I have more here, I'll brew some extra for you later." Ramos chuckled while holding the Sunkern, indirectly probing about this Sunkern's training methods.

"Sun sun!"

I just ate a really amazing fruit! Then infinite power surged up!

The Sunkern generously shared its method for becoming stronger, but unfortunately, there was no Meowth here, no translator.

The Gengar nearby couldn't help but drift closer, circling around the Sunkern.

"Sun sun!"

Meanwhile, in Pelican Town.

After breakfast, Team Rocket followed Indeedee to the barn to work.

The group never slacked off at work, so they quickly got into the rhythm and began following Indeedee to take care of these—

Animals.

"They're not Pokémon?" Meowth poked the cow before him with his claw, then got butted and stumbled backward. He stared incredulously at the mooing cow, only sitting up from the ground after a long moment.

"They really aren't Pokémon, meow—Meowth can't understand a single word."

Meowth climbed up and picked up the broom from the ground, then whispered to Jessie and James who were also sweeping nearby.

"How strange..." Jessie murmured, turning to glance at Shane who was working with his back to them. "Everything here is quite strange."

She had originally wanted to talk to that man who had been working here before—apparently named Shane—to gather some information.

But aside from when Ron entered or when Indeedee handed him something, that man never spoke. Other times, even when Jessie shouted continuously beside him, he showed no reaction whatsoever.

"Forget it, let's just get to work." James said nearby. "If we can finish early this afternoon, we can take a good look around here."

At these words, the group instantly threw themselves into their work with full energy.

Shane glanced at Team Rocket from the corner of his eye while brushing the cow, saw them working energetically, then withdrew his gaze and returned to focusing on his work.

Indeedee patrolled around, confirmed that Team Rocket had no plans for sabotage, then left with hands behind its back.

This was a recent small habit it had picked up completely from Ron. It couldn't say what improvement this brought to work, but anyway, strolling around with hands behind its back felt quite nice.

After inspecting various tasks, Indeedee walked all the way to the cabin with hands behind its back and began preparing lunch for everyone.

Speaking of which, Team Rocket's appetites were shockingly large. Indeedee even felt that the three of them together might eat more than a Snorlax.

Fortunately, this was the current farm. If it were before, when the farm had nothing, these three arriving might have bankrupted the farm with their eating.

Indeedee thought this while preparing today's lunch in the kitchen.

But then again, although they could eat, they were equally capable workers. Their enthusiasm for work was even higher than Shane's. Setting aside those bad thoughts in their minds, they almost never complained about the work content while working, and were always grateful for being provided food and shelter.

"Indeed." Indeedee thought this, stirred the soup in the pot, then ran out from the house to Robin who was busy building the cabin for Team Rocket.

"Indeedee?"

"What?" Robin turned her head and saw Indeedee holding a tomato not far away. "Are you looking for me, dear?"

"Indeedee, indeed!" Indeedee waved the tomato in its hand, calling out and gesturing.

"Yes, you want to give me this tomato to eat?" Robin asked uncertainly.

"Indeedee, indeed—"

Meowth passed by washing his paws, turned his head and translated. "It's asking if you want to eat lunch together. If yes, it'll make pasta for you, meow."

"Ah, really? Thank you."

"Indee!"

"You're welcome, meow." Meowth was about to open his mouth when Indeedee called out to him. "Meowth gets some too, meow. Thank you, meow."

Hearing this, Meowth walked cheerfully beside Indeedee, entered the house, and went to the washroom to wash his paws.

Because Team Rocket worked hard enough, the barn and coop work ended before afternoon even arrived. Meowth hummed a song while washing his paws.

Although the mainland in Kalos also provided some facilities convenient for Pokémon, this was the first washroom specifically designed for Pokémon.

Thinking this, Meowth glanced at the specially made furniture for the Rattatas and felt somewhat envious.

"So nice, meow." He then exited the room and saw Indeedee busy cooking. He immediately walked over and helped Indeedee with the work.

Meanwhile, Ron.

Having left the farm early in the morning, Ron first went around delivering gifts.

Aside from routinely bringing some Kalos fabric for Emily, since he had gone to Coumarine City this time, Ron specifically brought a gift for Leah too.

It was wood, raw material from Coumarine City.

Because of the Pledging Tree, Coumarine City had various wood carvings and abundant wood raw materials.

Holding a large piece of wood, Ron knocked on Leah's door.

"Good morning..." Leah rubbed her eyes.

Since Pelican Town's beach would have a night market open until evening these past two days, Leah had adjusted her schedule accordingly.

Opening the door, the first thing she saw was a huge piece of wood raw material. Leah paused first, then pinched her own arm.

"Ah, it hurts, not a dream... then how is there such good quality wood knocking on my door so early in the morning?" Leah murmured, about to rub her eyes again to confirm she wasn't hallucinating when Ron's face appeared from behind the wood.

"Ah! It's you, Ron!" Leah cheered in surprise. "It's already the 14th—oh, the 15th! You're back from Kalos?! Is this for me?"

"Yes, I brought it from Coumarine City." Ron introduced. "I thought you might like it, so I specifically brought it."

"I love it!"

If not for this wood between them, Leah felt she might have excitedly thrown herself at Ron.

Ron smiled and carried the wood into Leah's cabin.

"Where should I put it?"

"Just put it there!" Leah said, moving things aside to make space for this piece of wood.
