Cherreads

Chapter 1 - (1)

The smell of burning concrete and plastic entered through my nose.

Or, what was left of it, at least.

Looking back through all that has happened, through all that we've all been through, through all that I've been through.

I could say with 100% certainty that my life's been shit, not the worst, maybe, I guess, but definitely shit.

Especially with the fact that I've died and come back to life all to try and undo all the evil and suffering that my father has spread through his delusions of Immortality.

Burning every last of the pizzerias that he's created and that he has used just to torment others in his self-destructive path of death and misery.

All of that has conducted and led every last soul that my father has butchered and all of those that were close to him, all of us, to this very moment.

CRASH!!

The floor of the pizzeria above of me started to fail and fall along with everything within.

The flames started to become bigger and bigger around me.

I could almost hear my father screaming from the other side of the door.

???: "NIIIIIIGHT GUUAAAAAARD!!!"

Oh yes, he was screaming alright, and, I guess, he didn't end up recognizing me.

Well I mean, it should be obvious that he doesn't recognize me, based on the fact that I'm a walking rotting corpse and all that.

Gosh, you would think that after reuniting everyone and using the only thing (fire) capable of freeing them from their prisons (animatronics), they would at least be a little grateful.

Then again, fire hurts, but how would I know, the first thing that rotted before I could regain control back of my body were my pain and nerve receptors.

Taking off the gloves that I was wearing I looked at my rotting, purple, nearly see-through flesh, and the bone, gosh the bone, it's now visible.

Letting out a sigh I flinch at the sound of my own voice.

It sounded so tired, so gravelly, so staticky, so...

Empty.

It makes sense, in a cold, disturbing way, after everything that I've gone through, after everything that I've done.

All I want is to rest.

Is that too much to ask for?

And I started to sob right then and there.

Then it came the crying and I couldn't stop.

For so many years, I've endured the mental pain, the anguish, the thought of everything that happened to my family because of me.

That, as well as the fact of seeing yourself rotting day after day, with no way of stopping it.

I guess that's why I broke and threw out evey last mirror, as well as covered every last window that could reflect back what was happening to me.

I couldn't put up with the tought of seeing myself deteriorate like that without being capable of stopping it. It was too much.

Taking deep breaths I started to calm down, as best as I could, until the only thing that gave away that I had cried were the dark purple tears seeping from under my mask into my shirt.

That was another thing, something had replaced both my tears and my blood, now, now I am a 100% certified adult-sized carton of grape juice.

Haaaah~

Burnt concrete started to fall off the ceiling, the flames had made it so that the circuitry that allowed me to control the doors of the vents around me malfunctioned, leaving them open.

And looking to my left, in the other room to which the vent on my left led to, there he was, the man that made it so that everything that happened led to this moment.

He looked at me with eyes full of hate, or at least, what seemed to be eyes, it becomes difficult when the eyes of a man have been fusioned to the optics of an animatronic.

???: "YOUUUUU."

Oh no, yeah, he can definitely see me.

After all this time, and even after all that he's done, it's really difficult to not feel sad and broken seeing your own father transformed into an amalgam between man and machine, metal fusioned with flesh, innards and veins coiling around metal bits and pieces, fragments of nearly-intact bone here and there, bloodstained and matted, plastic fur serving as skin.

It felt revolting seeing him quite so "inside out", but it hurt nonetheless, after all, a son can't help but love their parent, even with all the imperfections that they had and carried.

And in the time I self-reflected on how my father looked like a monster he was already getting out of the vent.

He's pretty fast, especially with all the metal that now forms part of him.

???: "Youuuuu, you and that bastard Henry did this."

???: "I mean, he just did a whole speech through the intercomms, it's pretty obvious that it was him and me."

With that said I stood up from my chair, but the moment I did so, my father threw himself against me, taking me by the neck and holding me in the air before slamming me against the wall.

???: "I'm going to enjoy ripping open your stomach, only to take your guts and strangle you with them."

I felt nothing even as he tightened his grip on my neck.

???: "You were always a calm person, but when you were out of patience, you were always the first with a short fuse ey."

The familiarity and confidence with which I said it seemed to confuse him for a moment before his eyes were full of anger and hate again.

???: "Bah, what the hell would you know about me?!"

He said agitated while waving around the stump of his left arm that ended on his elbow with a pointy tip of bone. Right, he lost his arm on that first fire that I provoked.

Using my right hand to calmly take off the white bear mask that I was wearing his eyes didn't recognize me for a moment.

Only to widen the next second before letting go of my neck as if his hand was burned from the contact between my flesh and his.

???: "I know far more about you than I would like to admit, father."

My father stayed stuned but for a moment, as if he was taking and internalizing the fact that his eldest son, whom appeared to be dead, was standing before him.

???: "M-Michael?"

I think this is the fourth time in which I heard my father so vulnerable, the first being my mothers death, then my little sisters, the youngest of us three siblings and lastly during my little brothers stay at the hospital and eventual death.

One thing was for sure, the shock in his eyes as well as... pain? Was pretty much real, the remnant flowing through my veins told me so.

Of course, before I could even grace my father with an answer both him and I felt the floor cave in for a moment, destabilizing us both, only for it to finally give in, makings us borh fall into the lower levels of this, as Herny put it, maze of iron and steel.

I think this might have been a trick of my mind using the sound from the roaring flames and falling building, but I swear that I could have heard my father calling out my name as we were falling, I could even hear a note of despair and fear in his voice.

As I said, a trick that my mind might have come up with in my, hopefully, last moments before finally resting.

These were my final thoughts before the debris finally caught up with me and my vision went dark.

[Night - 0:00 a.m. 3rd person P.O.V]

The whole building was in shambles, burned concrete and metal rebarbs sticking out here and there.

The colorful sign filled with the mascots that welcomed everyone with the name of the place "Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria" layed broken and burnt at the edges, surprisingly not completely broken.

Fire still spurted out here and there among the debris of the place, a conglomeration of people watching as the place came down unto itself, the siren of the firefighters coming from the distance.

Among the fire and broken walls a dark silhouette scaped from under the rubble carrying what seemed to be the body of an adult, coming close to what seemed to be a makeshift sledge with other bodies on it.

Depositing the body with the rest, the dark silhouette took hold of a rope connected to the sledge and pulled, getting out of there before anyone could see it or what it was doing.

[Michael - P.O.V]

Uuuuuugggghhh.

My head feels like it's going to explode.

Which already clues me in the fact that I'm pretty much alive... ish.

The point is, I'm still among the living.

Opening what was left of my eyes I looked at what seemed to be a very familiar ceiling.

Hhmmmm...

It really does look familiar.

And that's when it hit me like a brick to the face, standing up into a sitting position in the bed in which I was supposedly sleeping in I looked around myself to confirm that I was, indeed, in a nightmare or a very elaborate, very cruel prank.

If this is indeed a prank, whoever did it has a really sick and twisted sense of humor, and I'm going to be ripping their throat out with my mouth.

Everything was just like how I left it.

If you were to look at my room from above it would be a perfect square, at the top right corner the door would be at the left, opening towards the inside. At the top left corner there was the wardrobe with all of my, both, adult clothing and angsty teenager clothes.

A little lower from the wardrobe there was a big window that led to a beautiful view of a forest behind the house in which my family lived in and when everyone else died, I continued living in, with curtains nearly closing the window, only letting a little bit of moonlight filter through the glass.

At the bottom left corner and beyond the window was the bed in which I was sleeping in, to my left and back were the walls, to the front was the wardrobe as if already mentioned, and to my right was a little nightstand with a little lamp which was turned off letting the room (minus the area that the window covered) in complete darkness. Which doesn't really matter to me, I'm capable of seeing clearly even if the room were to be in complete darkness.

Beyond the nightstand was the desk in which I normally spent my time doing anything but homework. Remembering those times nearly got a chuckle out of me. Nearly.

To the front and right of the desk were the walls, and to the left of it were a few posters on the wall and then the door.

Oh and the walls were just a greyish color, a dark one.

But thinking of this didn't distract me from the fact that I was somehow back in my room. When I was supposed to be burning to cinders and being finally free.

Before I could think anything more I heard someone knocking on my door.

My throat suddenly felt really dry, even if it was rotting and I wasn't capable of producing any kind of saliva.

???: "M-Mikey?"

Hearing that small, girlish voice froze me and made nearly blank out.

Elizabeth?
