Blood dripped from Duke Gu's lips as he staggered backwards. He lost grip of his whip, which lay on the floor, as he wiped his lips and face with his hands.
He looked up to see Ren, who had gotten to his feet.
Ren had wiped his hands against his face, magically making the injuries he had accumulated disappear as he stretched out his hand toward the whip. The whip flew into his grasp as he stared at Duke Gu.
Ren smiled. "This is quite an interesting weapon..." He examined the whip, feeling it with his fingers, as Duke Gu stared at him.
"You... how did you do it...?" Duke Gu questioned. "You were powerless... I'm sure... you lost your powers... so how..." He stammered.
But Ren raised an eyebrow, smiling. "Huh? I don't know what you're talking about. But I think you're dumb enough to think you can play with a demon."
