Arianne made her way to the conference room at the end of the executive corridor. Her pace steady, not rushed. Staff stepped aside, leaving a clear path toward the double doors.
She took a seat nearest to the entrance. Door to her left. Oval table extending toward the windows. The blinds halfway drawn, muting the morning light across the polished surface. Department heads already seated on both sides. She arrived slightly late. Did not offer apologies.
A department head cleared his throat. No one else spoke.
Arianne opened the first folder.
Gio stood behind her right shoulder, placing the contracts directly in front of her. The rest of the department heads waited for her signature to finalize them.
"We have aligned the clauses according to your inputs, Ms. Summers," one of the department heads said. "If there are no objections, we can finalize today."
