"So easy," Bella thought, a thought Sofia couldn't hear. "The White Wolf is as soft as the legends say. The Rogue King was right. I'm already inside the fortress."
They reached the apartment, and Sofia pushed the door open. The space felt warm, spacious, and quiet. Sofia went to the kitchen to get some water, leaving Bella in the living room.
"Make yourself at home," Sofia called out. "There's a spare room down the hall. You can take a shower and I'll find you some clean clothes."
Bella stood in the middle of the room, her eyes scanning the locks on the door and the layout of the windows. She reached into her pocket and felt the small, hidden voice device the Rogue King had given her so he could hear their conversations.
"Thank you, ma'am," Bella said aloud, her voice sounding sweet and innocent again. "You have no idea how much this means to me."
Sofia responded back loudly, saying, "My name is Sofia... please call me Sofia."
