Her question made Kelvin furrow his brows in confusion.
Seeing a slight flicker of emotion cross his face, something unusual, almost out of place —Sonia's breath caught. A cold shiver rushed down her spine.
"Don't you have any recollection of how you ended up in a coma?" Kelvin asked.
He had been meaning to ask her this the moment she woke up.
Sonia shook her head slowly. "No…" Her voice was faint. "I don't remember anything. Not how I fell into the coma… not even how my life was before then."
The revelation left them both gasping inwardly, as though the air had suddenly grown too thin to breathe.
Kelvin had travelled out of state for a medical trip, and by the time he returned, Sonia had already been in the hospital for two weeks.
What made it worse…no, what made it suspicious was that Alex had never informed him of her admission.
Even when he knew that's where he worked.
He had only found out by chance… when he came across her file.
