The moment those words left Kelvin's lips, Sonia felt something tighten inside her chest.
Trust him? At this point, Sonia was certain she trusted him far more than he even realized.
Besides…trust was never built on words alone. It came with actions, with consistency, and with the quiet things a person did when nobody was watching.
For everything she had witnessed, everything she had experienced through him, Sonia no longer had any reason to doubt him.
Even so, she pretended to think about it carefully for a while before slowly nodding her head. Yet before agreeing completely, she still wanted to confirm one last thing.
"So you are saying we are going to the exhibition and not the hospital, right?" she asked cautiously.
Kelvin's expression remained calm and unreadable as he casually shrugged his shoulders.
"Of course," he answered smoothly. "Even though things are tense right now, we can still live for today, can't we?"
