Chapter 147 - Announcement

[A necessary pause]

I need to be upfront with you all: The Wheel is going on hiatus, starting now.

This isn't a "lost motivation" pause, and nothing sudden broke. The truth is simpler: I've been writing two daily-alternating stories for months now, and it's been cutting into more than just my sleep. You've probably noticed it, mistakes creeping through even after two proofreads, chapters going out well past midnight as the norm, not the exception. Keeping that up for another eight months until both stories end isn't something I can promise you honestly.

I don't like breaking promises, and I don't like abandoning readers either. So instead of quietly letting the Wheel run down, I'm putting that energy into doing it right: a rewrite of the same core concept Wheel was built on, but with a stronger foundation, a protagonist I'm genuinely excited to write, and a full framework mapped out before a single chapter went up, instead of building the plane while flying it, like I did with Wheel.

Chapter 1 is already done. This isn't a promise on the horizon, it's real.

Here's the plan: There are still 12 chapters already written and sitting ahead on Patreon. Instead of trickling those out at the old alternate-day pace, I'll be releasing them here daily until the backlog runs out, so you get a real, proper send-off instead of a slow fade. Once those 12 are through, Wheel goes fully on hiatus while I spend the next month or two building the new project's long buffer before it launches, giving me enough leeway to write both stories without burning myself out.

FUH continues as normal through all of this, and its weekday release is bumping up to at least four chapters a week, more if time allows.

I know a pause stings this deep into a story. I'm not asking you to be fine with it right away, I just want you to know this isn't me walking away out of boredom, and I'll have real updates, not vague reassurances, once the new one's ready to show itself.

Thank you for sticking with the Wheel this far. More soon.

[The synopsis for what's next]

I spent my entire life earning the trust of things too wild to be tamed.

Then I died, and a bloodline no god ever blessed woke inside me.

My world should have ended.

It split instead.

Two threads. One mark. Me, caught in between.

One leads to Orario as it stands now.

The other leads to Orario under Zeus and Hera's reign, and a goddess who's still searching.

They don't have a name for what I carry.

I don't either.

Ten shapes live in my shadow.

None of them think I'm worth dying for.

Not for long.

A note on this rewrite: Yes, its a Ten shadows one, and this time, there's a full mechanical framework built so you can track Mahoraga's adaptability in real time and watch it actually evolve, not shift vaguely off-page. No other worlds or borrowed abilities this time, except one, whose lore I've woven directly into Danmachi. I won't spoil which.

...

Have a wonderful day, everyone. And don't worry too much, it's not a goodbye at all.

See you all over at FUH if you'd like.
