I heard a soft, musical voice call out, right before two middle-aged women burst out of the main doors of the house.
The one ahead, a C-Gen Alpha—judging from the depth of her pheromones— had the softest features I had ever seen an Alpha posses.
The second one, however, was an A-Gen Omega. I took a step back without meaning to just from looking at the scowl on her face.
The was no doubt about her beauty, she was stunning. But with that scowl she looked like a snake about to lunge.
"It had to take a party to get you to set foot in this house in over a year, Mr Shen Yichen."
The sarcasm dripped off her voice like rain off a roof. Even I winced from how intense it was.
Who were these women?
"Mom," Mr Shen nodded at the Alpha, and my brows quirked. "Mother," he said to the Omega. "This is Mr Ren."
These were his parents? I could've been fooled. He looked nothing like them. In fact, one of them looked more like —and I can't believe I was bringing him up— Mr Feng.
