Ringing
Every sound around me faded until all I could hear was that shrill ringing swallowing everything else.
Even as I saw the lunatic's mouth opening and closing, the veins in his neck popping from how loud he was probably shouting, my ears registered none of it.
My eyes rolled loosely in my skull, unable to focus on anything in particular as my head swung limply on my neck, coming to a rest on the backrest of the chair.
I let out ragged breaths as I waited for my senses to return to me. And as if that wasn't agonizing enough, I felt a finger poke my undoubtedly broken nose.
"I now see why you gave him that." Mingyu said, and I deduced that he was talking to my abductor whose name I was yet to find out.
My body shook as pain surged through me in relentless waves from that simple action.
"He can be very annoying when he talks." Mingyu gave my nose a deeper push.
Oh, to be able to scream out loud.
