The following day started in the most unexpected way for everyone.
Everyone woke up to the HFA trending across social media.
A video had surfaced exposing how the Kaimi Daja had announced the death of Sanito Dyason and taken full responsibility for their actions. The video also went on to taunt how the HFA were an incompetent organization, proclaiming that the Kaimi Daja would achieve their goals and that anyone who stood in their way would meet the same fate as Sanito.
This revelation caused an uproar across the country and the people, who funded the HFA with their taxes, began to lose faith in the organization. The casual reveal of the death of Sanito by the Kaimi Daja didn't help things either and the public questioned whether their contributions were making any difference at all.
The HFA quickly moved into action by having the video taken down and organizing a press conference where Gabriel Esthath assured the people that they would do their absolute best to ensure that the Kaimi Daja were dealt with.
But words could only do so much and the people felt that they needed results rather words.
Meanwhile, in a random house somewhere, Gaki sat by a laptop as he watched the discourse about the HFA go off online and Zero stood beside him and watched as well.
Gaki: Was there any point to all this, Zero? Why did we make and upload that video?
Zero: To sow chaos in the society. We need to show that the HFA has weaknesses, and now that the world has seen them falter, the confidence people have in them will begin to erode.
Gaki: I get that but why are we doing it? Is there a benefit to this that I don't see yet?
Zero: Yeah, I'll let you know when that benefit comes.
Zero stood to his feet.
Zero: Let's go. Everyone's waiting.
Zero and Gaki entered another room where Korra, Desmond, Giles, Jokita, Veto and Lokk were waiting.
Korra had a young and dangerous look to her face and her pink hair made her standout from the rest of the group. She wore a sleeveless shirt which showed the numerous scars and her shadow markings mixed together across her arms.
Desmond had dark brown hair and he always wore a intimidating look on his face and was the oldest person among them.
Giles had the look of a person in their mid 20s and his hair had a mix of black and green to it.
Jokita had short yellow hair and always carried a face that everyone else found difficult to read.
And then there was Lokk who was the shortest among them and wore a calm look on his face most of the time.
Veto was the one who had the most dangerous look as his face was completely covered in bandages except for his eyes which could scare the regular person to death.
They were the Kaimi Daja.
Zero observed everyone in the room and made sure they were in attendance before he spoke.
Zero: Hey, everyone. Now that we've cleared some obstacles, let's talk about the plan I've devised.
Giles heaved a big sigh.
Giles: About damn time. I've been itching for action.
Jokita: Patience isn't one of your virtues, is it, Giles?
Giles: At least I have restraint. (gestures) Unless Veto over there. Tthis plan better be worth the wait.
Zero smirked.
Zero: Oh, it is, but understand, this plan won't go off without consequences. In the worst-case scenario, one or all of us could die.
Lokk's eyes widened.
Lokk: Just what kind of plan is it?
Zero: Before we do that, ket's go over what we've accomplished so far. Thanks to Korra's technique and Jokita's genius, we were able to recreated the Shadow Bugs capable of turning a Shadow Conduit into a full-fledged Shadow. Because of that, we've found Kato Hamura. And with the assistance of "____", our spy within the Shadow Society, we've confirmed that Kato is a descendant of the Hamorabi Clan and has awakened the power of one of the Fragments: The god eye.
The group nodded as Zero turned to Gaki.
Zero: What's the status of the other God Eye from the Sakamoto Clan?
Gaki: Desmond and I have searched, but tracking him down is difficult. He covers his tracks well, probably because he's the last heir of his clan and doesn't want to be found.
Desmond: (hisses) Such a pain in the ass.
