"You haven't answered my question..."
The two guys rose to their feet and took their stance for battle.
"Oh?"
Before they could react, white had moved with speed that outclassed sound and pierced his phoenix blade straight at the first assassin's head which he barely parried. Swinging his blade to match his movements,he turned and slashed diagonally, aiming his heart but he leaped back evading the strike
"Wow... now this is a fight"
"Don't get to carried away now..."
White noticed that the second assassin didn't bother to join the fight despite having displayed such fighting prowess.
"Hey now, don't get distracted..."
The assassin plants a kick to his gut stunning him while he followed with a roundhouse that white parried. Using the sage eyes, white could perfectly predict the movements of his opponents and counter but he was still on the receiving end when fighting the assassin
"Oh... don't tell me you expected to beat us easily"
"Yeah I did... that's why I didn't bother going full power"
What?!
"Oh...so I didn't seem like tough shit right"
"Pretty much"
White's Jade eyes glowed and his Phoenix blade followed suit. With one step following after another,he leapt forth using a technique; silent steps and pierced his blade through the shoulder of the assassin
"Ah"
His grin widens as the assassin swings down intending to split open his head. With the speed at which the arc approached,if landed with a clean strike would result in instant death.
"You lose—"
Just like that, the assassin stopped his blade midair and took a leap back,with a surprised look on his face. Even the second assassin reacted like a reflex action and took a step back. White hadn't noticed what was going on until he heard a voice
"Guys,you don't have to be on edge,I'm just here to chat"
White turned and saw Davi walking towards them from behind white while wearing a smirk on his face and holding the ice dagger Nico had caught.
"This should be yours right?"
He threw it to the foot of the wounded assassin while he walked to the second one
This guy... Is dangerous, one wrong move would—
"I hate waiting..."
By the time everyone had realized,he was pointing the Phoenix blade at the second assassin while scratching his hair
"Simple question; who sent you..."
"..."
"Ah... never mind"
He threw the blade back to white who didn't even realize that it was gone then helped his come down the watch tower. For some reason,he refrained from killing them
"That guy... Is strong"

Nico woke up to see his room, messed up,cans lying around, people lying around like dead bodies and a letter by his pillow.
"Ah, one letter after another..."
He quickly opened it and read through then tossed it to one side. He then stood up to grab whatever was available in the fridge. As he walked by, his alarm on his phone rang, showing the date and the occasion for the day
Huh...
"What?!... today is the entrance ceremony?"
"Hey white..."
White sits up and stares at Nico .
"What..."
"How long was I asleep?"
"5 days"
Nico rushed to the bathroom to prepare for the day while the others finally got up from their sleeping positions. At first everyone was stunned to see his bed empty but white explained to them the situation.
As Nico and the others arrived at the school, Nico spots Lily and walked to her side.
"Davi informed me that you were the one who healed me,thank you..."
Nico bows a little to show his appreciation
"Ah...oh, okay..."

After that they were asked to move to the gym to prepare for the ceremony about to take place.
Right when it began, the students council president walked forward and gave a speech to the new comers. Right after that,he called in the first years with the highest marks to receive their rewards.
"... Lily willdragon and finally Nicodemus..."
Davi stood on stage to give a speech while the others walked back to their seats.
"I've a small announcement to make. I'm challenging someone from the first years to a duel on Friday...."
Murmurs flew round as it sparked a huge discussion in the crowd and among the student council.
"Don't worry,I know my opponent... I'll be choosing you, Nicodemus"

Nico stood up in the midst of the crowd and answered. He tried his best not to sound confident while also trying not to sound weak .

For the first time, since he got to the school, Lily looked at him for over 30 seconds while he didn't notice. And he wouldn't even try to look because of the pressure felt from the announcement he just made.
White looked over to his side and smiled giving him a thumbs up while sky waved to him which he smiled back.
"So without further explanation —"
"Wait, Davi, I've a suggestion...let me fight Nicodemus"
A boy named ken stood up from his seat and posed a suggestion to Davi.
"Why is that?..."
"I wanted to show the week how pathetic they are..."
"Hmm...I think this just got interesting. How about I place a bet...."
"Anything..."
"I'm placing a bet that Nico would win."
The whole gym went quiet for a second
"Huh?!?!"
The student council president adjusted his glasses with a smirk on his face.
"Why don't I place a bet too, I'll be betting on Nicodemus."
