After learning that Lora was a Liyue Adeptus, Tighnari's attitude toward them grew noticeably warmer. Beneath his words, it was clear he was trying to find out whether she had any skill in medicine.
Of course, she knew exactly what he was getting at.
So that evening, she went to find him.
"Oh, Miss Lora—you were looking for me?" he asked with a smile.
She let out a quiet sigh. "If you're hoping I can treat Collei, I'm afraid I'll disappoint you. Eleazar is far more complicated than you think. Even I can't cure it."
His expression dimmed slightly. He exhaled. "I see… So it really runs that deep… Even you can't do anything about it."
After a brief pause, she continued, "That said, I can ease her condition. At the very least, I can stop it from getting worse and let her live like a normal person."
At that, his expression brightened. He bowed slightly. "Thank you, Miss Lora. Truly."
"With a master like you, Collei is lucky," she said.
They didn't waste any time and went to find her that same evening.
After helping her lie down, Lora stood by the bedside. "This might hurt. Can you handle it?"
"I've been through worse, Miss Lora." Collei met her gaze without hesitation.
"Then… let's begin."
She raised her hands.
Droplets of water fell like rain from her palms, landing on Collei—but instead of soaking her clothes or the bed, they sank straight into her body.
A cool, soothing sensation spread through her, followed by a sharp, tearing pain.
But compared to what she had endured before, it was nothing.
She clenched her teeth and held on.
Lora guided the purifying water through her body, suppressing the Eleazar within.
Eleazar came from Forbidden Knowledge—something tied to the very foundation of Teyvat. While Lora herself was connected to that same source, she didn't hold the same authority as the Dendro Archon, and couldn't erase it completely.
Once the water had made a full pass through her body, Lora looked at her again.
"There's a god's remnant sealed inside you?"
Collei stiffened. Just as she was about to move, Lora stopped her.
"Don't move. Relax—I'm here. I may not be able to cure Eleazar completely, but this won't affect you anymore."
She froze, and even Tighnari behind her looked on in shock.
"No need to be so surprised," Lora said calmly. "I've subdued the Overlord of the Vortex—a true god. Compared to that, this is nothing."
Poor Osial had long since become her benchmark.
Hearing her confidence, both of them relaxed. The last trace of tension in Collei's chest slowly faded as that power continued to flow through her.
It felt like drifting in a warm ocean—an indescribable comfort, like being held in her mother's arms.
Suddenly, a mass of black mist burst from her body, twisting into the shape of a serpent.
The black serpent reared up and roared at Collei.
Lora only smiled faintly. A deep blue glow shimmered around her as an overwhelming pressure crashed down on it.
Under that pressure, its form began to break apart.
Trying to scare her?
She reached out, grabbed the serpent, and clenched her hand.
In an instant, the godly remnant—terrifying to mortals—was crushed into nothingness.
If it had faced someone like the Electro Archon, it might have forced some restraint out of concern for Collei. But unfortunately, it had met someone who specialized in purification.
When it was over, Collei felt lighter than ever.
For the first time, her body truly felt like her own—no longer worn down by Eleazar or controlled by anything else.
"Lumine, Paimon—go with Tighnari and gather some herbs. She's still weak," Lora said, turning back.
"Got it!" Paimon nodded right away.
After thanking her, Tighnari led the two of them out.
Lora stayed by the bedside, gently ruffling Collei's hair.
"Get some rest. When you wake up tomorrow, you'll feel like a new person."
"Thank you, Miss Lora!" she said gratefully.
...
Freed from the constant toll of Eleazar and the godly remnant, Collei felt as though she had been reborn. She no longer had to worry about losing control of her body. Though Eleazar hadn't been eradicated, for now, she was no different from a normal person.
Before long, they prepared to leave for Sumeru City.
"Lora, listen—yesterday, when we went with Tighnari to gather herbs for Collei, we ran into this really strange place! He called it a Withering Zone. Said it's connected to Irminsul! Do you know Irminsul? He also said the Dendro Archon is tied to it…"
Paimon chattered nonstop as they walked—and almost as if in response, a Withering Zone appeared ahead.
"Whoa!" she stared in shock. "Why is there another Withering Zone here?!"
"Be careful. The monsters inside are dangerous—don't let them hit you," Lumine warned.
Lora simply motioned for them to relax. Looking at the writhing creatures within the Withering Zone, she snapped her fingers.
At once, underground water surged upward, flooding the area. The creatures dissolved into black mist and vanished.
Under her overwhelming purification, the Withering Zone disappeared in moments.
"W-Wow… that was fast!" Paimon exclaimed. "Yesterday, we had to try so hard just to clear one!"
