The world has forgotten the Jinn.

Once, the magical beings of Klysium walked openly among humanity, bound to mortal soulmates known as Qarins. Together, they fought a devastating war against the hellfire-wielding Yfryths and sealed them away. Thousands of years later, that war has become little more than myth.

But the prison is breaking.

As hellfire returns to Uniyani, seven humans carrying ancient Jinnblood begin to awaken—and seven powerful Jinn cross into the mortal world to find the Qarins they have waited centuries for.

An herbalist. A blacksmith. A treasure hunter. A necromancer. A thief. An assassin. A pirate.

Seven humans.

Seven Jinn.

Seven bonds that may be the world's greatest hope—or exactly what the Yfryths need to destroy it.

The First War became legend. The Second will bring the Jinn back.
