Ezra
Allen stared at me for what felt like ages. It was difficult keeping up with the intensity of his gaze. My resolve almost faltered until he spoke.
"Why do you want to join the military, Ezra?" he asked. "I can't help but feel like you've got some weird ideas you want to carry out. Is there something I should know?"
Can he see through me? There's no way that's possible.
There was no need to lie. Even if I can't tell him the full truth, I can at least be honest about some parts.
"I want more," I said finally.
His brows pulled together slightly.
"More?" he repeated.
"Yes," I said, sitting up a little now even though he was basically on top of me. "I don't want to just exist as an omega who stays and does nothing and waits for someone else to decide what happens to me."
Allen's eyes didn't move away from me even for a moment.
"That's not really an answer," he said quietly.
"It is," I replied. "Just not the one you want."
He exhaled through his nose.
