Dragging her feet through the ground covered in gravel, Jade felt like her universe was coming to an end. She was thrown out of the fortress…yet. But she saw no difference between the world beyond the walls and the life within the fortress… they were both hell she believed.
Her hands tightened around the broom she was holding, her gaze staring at the chicken's poop littered all over the floor.
She wore two long plastic gloves that got to her elbows and her plastic boots were high to her knees. Her hair was tied at the back of her neck.
Her muscles in her jaw strained so tightly, that the sound of her gritting teeth ground through the air.
'I'm a Wayne, but I'm reduced to this shallow work! Laurel, you'd better watch your back, because I'm going to make you pay for this… I'm going to make you pay-y-y.' Her inner thought shattered as a sob escaped her lips.
