Maximilian soon became completely occupied with Joshua.

They eventually loaded one of those sprawling open-world historical RPGs where you roamed medieval lands, raided villages, and fought increasingly brutal enemies.
Caleb folded his arms proudly.
"Gold medals on all Mastery Trials," he said. "Never even touched the difficulty settings."
Maximilian's interest sharpened immediately.
Within minutes he had learned the controls. The movement. The attacks.
