Chapter 90 - An Unexpected Customer

But where did George and Fred obtain the corresponding knowledge?

Could it be in Hogwarts' Restricted Section?

Adrian thought it was very possible. The collection of books in the Restricted Section was vast. The books he'd visited many times in a school year might not be one ten-thousandth of what the Section contained.

Some books about ancient runes being there was also normal. After all, there was even knowledge about Horcruxes.

But these days hadn't been in vain. He'd made some ordinary magical items, and with those made by Irene, a quarter of the shelves in the store were already stocked with merchandise.

At the same time, Blackwood Unusual Magical Items Shop had also reopened.

This kind of life continued until the early morning of the second week. Adrian, who was practicing runes at the counter, heard the bell ringing outside the door.

With a glance up, Adrian put down the carving knife. It would take more than half a month for people from the Ministry of Magic to arrive. It seemed some customers were here.

"Hello, welcome to Blackwood Unusual Magical Items Shop. Do you have anything you need?" Adrian raised his head and said.

Immediately afterward, Adrian was stunned. The man was dressed in a black wizard robe with pale blonde hair. His face was pale and almost frightening. After entering the store, the snake-headed cane held in his right hand tapped heavily on the ground, giving a dull ring.

'Lucius Malfoy!'

Adrian narrowed his eyes to confirm the visitor's identity and guessed what the other party had come for.

'Is this trouble from the wizard market?'

No, judging from the information Dougt had given him, the Malfoys weren't shareholders behind the wizarding market.

Then it could only be...

As Adrian was thinking about it, he heard someone talking.

"Isn't Mrs. Blackwood in the shop?"

Lucius Malfoy's cold gray eyes swept across the shop, keenly aware that this place was a little different from when he'd come before.

Most of the shop was empty, leaving only a few magical items.

"She is," Adrian said with one word, then continued.

"But right now I'm the manager. Mr. Malfoy, if you have anything, you can talk to me."

"Listen, boy, I'm going to discuss a major deal. Call your mother over." Lucius Malfoy waved his hand impatiently. He wasn't interested in wasting time with a kid.

"Mr. Malfoy is going to sell some dark magical items?" Adrian said directly.

Lucius was taken aback for a moment, hesitated, then nodded.

"Then my mother definitely won't agree. Mr. Malfoy should also be aware of the Ministry of Magic's recent actions, so we have no plans to purchase large quantities of dark magical items here," Adrian replied.

"People from the Ministry generally don't come to Knockturn Alley, right?" Seeing that Adrian's words were very organized, Lucius couldn't help putting away his previous contempt and asked.

"It seems Mr. Malfoy still doesn't know much about what's happened in Knockturn Alley." Adrian shook his head.

Lucius was silent. He'd been busy dealing with prohibited items in his home recently and was already overwhelmed, so he hadn't paid attention to things in Knockturn Alley.

Adrian didn't say much but mentioned that the Ministry might also investigate Knockturn Alley, so the questionable magical items had been removed from the shop.

Lucius's face looked very ugly. If things were as Adrian said, it would be troublesome.

Among the three dark magic shops in Knockturn Alley, he'd already visited the one opened by a goblin, and they'd directly refused to help him handle dark magical items.

The owner of Borgin and Burkes was very difficult to deal with, and Lucius thought they might seize this opportunity to lower prices drastically.

That's why he'd come here to try first before going there. But he hadn't expected to learn from Adrian that the Ministry would be patrolling Knockturn Alley.

Lucius didn't know the Ministry would only check this dark magic shop. He thought Fudge was going to clean up all of Knockturn Alley.

Thinking of this, Lucius looked gloomy and prepared to leave, planning to find other old friends and see if he could get them to help.

"Wait a moment, Mr. Malfoy." Adrian's gaze paused for a moment on the diary that Lucius was holding in his left hand.

"What is it?" Lucius Malfoy stopped.

"Although our shop can't buy your things in large quantities, it's fine to add more stock," Adrian said, not maintaining his calm expression from before but changing to a tone of interest.

"Especially any novel and interesting magical items."

Lucius shook his head secretly. He'd thought this little wizard was very mature before and had thought Draco would be great if he were like this.

He hadn't expected it was just a child's nature after all. A few more words would expose it.

Lucius opened his mouth and planned to refuse, because what he needed was to sell in bulk. He didn't have time to sell piece by piece.

But thinking of the notebook in hand, Lucius hesitated again and suddenly realized this was a good opportunity to deal with a problem.

"What do you think of this?" Lucius turned around and put the diary in his left hand on the table.

Adrian looked carefully several times.

It didn't look thick. The date printed in ink on the cover had faded, he didn't know how long it had been kept. Apart from this, there was nothing else notable.

But Adrian knew it was Tom Marvolo Riddle's diary and Voldemort's first Horcrux.

If he left it alone, this Horcrux diary would possess Ginny Weasley next semester, releasing the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets and causing chaos at Hogwarts until it was dealt with by Harry Potter.

The experience of last semester clearly told Adrian that after he'd joined, many things had become different.

Therefore, Adrian didn't think things would still be as fortunate as in the original timeline, a giant basilisk that didn't kill any students in several attacks at the school.

If Hogwarts had a few student deaths, it would have to be shut down for investigation immediately. Not to mention he'd also be at school then and might encounter the basilisk himself.

Now that he had this opportunity, Adrian certainly wanted to solve the Horcrux trouble once and for all. As long as he learned Fiendfyre, he could destroy it.

Moreover, Adrian remembered the incomplete Origin of Blood in his possession, and he had some questions that needed an insider to answer.

At Hogwarts, Adrian had considered contacting Voldemort's other Horcrux, Ravenclaw's diadem, but finally gave up.

Voldemort had been extremely powerful when he made the diadem. Unless he destroyed it immediately after getting it or directly handed it over to Dumbledore, he might be controlled even just by carrying it around.

The diary was different. It carried the memory and power of Voldemort in his fifth year. It was the most suitable one among many Horcruxes.
