Chapter 94 - THE OMEGA SYNCHRONIZATION

It feels like drowning.

Not in water—

in each other.

The Omega Gatekeeper doesn't move, doesn't speak;

his presence alone forces the synchronization open.

The three of them drop into a mental abyss, gravity folding in ways physics doesn't allow.

For a split-second Aryan's reaches for his own thoughts—

and finds Abhi's memories instead.

His failures.

His doubts.

The weight of being measured against his past selves.

Ahaan reaches for his breathing rhythm—

and feels Rhea's pulse, quick, sharp, and defiant.

Abhi tries to find ground—

and stands inside Ardian's blade-focus, precise and frighteningly controlled.

The lines blur.

Then shatter.

They hit the ground.

But it isn't ground.

It's a floating platform made entirely of their combined memories, fused and rearranged into a single landscape—

a broken collage of moments, fears, flashbacks, hopes, half-truths—

The Omega Synchrony Field.

A shape descends from above.

Not the Gatekeeper.

This one is smaller.

Faster.

Its form flickers between familiar shapes—

sometimes a silhouette of their loved ones,

sometimes their own reflections,

sometimes a weapon made from their unresolved emotions.

The Mind-Warden.

The first stage of the Omega test.

It speaks with all their voices layered together:

"Three minds, one weakness."

Aryan clenches his fists.

Ahaan steps forward.

Abhi raises his blade.

But the ground shifts beneath them—

a memory of Aryan's childhood home melts into a scene from Ahaan's training chamber, which bleeds into one of Ahaan's fractured dream-visions.

The Mind-Warden uses everything.

Every fear.

Every regret.

Every self-doubt they've buried.

And it comes fast.

The Warden attacks.

Not physically—

it pulls their thoughts out of sync.

A whisper in Aryan's mind suddenly becomes a deafening scream for Abhi.

A flicker of fear in Ahaan becomes a full paralysis in Aryan.

An impulse from Abhi becomes an uncontrolled strike from Ahaan.

They trip over each other's instincts.

They misread each other's emotional impulses.

They act as three people—

and in the Omega Test, that is equivalent to being unarmed.

A sharp psychic blast hits them.

They crash back.

Their shared landscape flickers violently.

Abhi gasps, clutching his head.

Aryan stumbles, gripping the edge of a melting platform.

Ahaan drops to one knee, jaw tight, breath uneven.

The Warden speaks again:

"Three minds…

still three."

The second assault comes without warning.

This time the Warden pulls a different tactic—

it duplicates Abhi, creating three versions of him.

Each speaks a fragmented fear:

"You'll never be enough."

"You'll fail them."

"You are the weakest link."

Aryan's instinct is to strike.

Ahaan's instinct is to block.

Abhi's instinct is to retreat.

And then—

Something clicks.

Aryan feels Abhi's humiliation burn in his chest.

Ahaan feels Aryan's destructive fury.

Abhi feels Ahaan's calculating calm.

Their emotions stop clashing.

They align.

Abhi speaks first:

"He's not running."

Ahaan finishes:

"He's positioning."

Aryan completes it:

"I'm not weak.

I'm adapting."

The three duplicates collapse into dust.

The Warden freezes.

For the first time, it hesitates.

Its final form towers above them—

a monstrous fusion of the trio's darkest insecurities.

But now—

They don't react separately.

Ahaan steps forward first, but he feels Aryan's pulse syncing to his stance.

Aryan channels Paradox-energy, but it coils with Abhi's harmonic mind-threads.

Abhi moves in, backed by Ahaan's precision and Rhea's aggression.

Three styles.

One sequence.

One intention.

When they strike—

they strike as a unified consciousness.

The Warden shatters like glass.

And the mindscape breaks.

The three of them snap back into the Omega Chamber with a shared gasp.

The Gatekeeper stands unmoved.

But the chamber recognizes their success.

The three fragments of the map glow brighter—

and a fourth lock-circle appears beneath them.

Astrael bows in acknowledgment.

Mantrax smirks with layered voices.

Vayrus nods once, sharply.

They passed the first part.

They achieved Synchrony.

But the Gatekeeper raises his hand again.

Space trembles.

The arena reconfigures into a colossal battlefield.

The next stage begins immediately.

And this time—it's physical.
