Chapter 107 - CHAPTER 107

Dawn had not yet fully broken when a thin mist began to settle over the shattered valley.

Cracked stones, earth scorched by clashing energies, and the lingering scent of blood stood as silent witnesses to the war that had just ended.

Yet the night full of roars had finally turned into an eerie stillness.

The remaining wolves moved slowly among the battle debris.

Some tended to the wounded.

Some lifted the bodies of their fallen.

And others simply stood still, as if still trying to grasp the reality that the war that had raged for so long… had finally truly ended.

In the middle of the valley, Aurelia stood at the edge of a cracked circle of earth.

The golden light that had once enveloped her body had now faded.

All that remained was a deep sense of exhaustion.

Lucien approached from behind.

His steps were slow, his sword already sheathed.

"You should be sitting down."

Aurelia smiled faintly without turning around.

"If I sit now, I might not get up again."

Lucien sighed.

He stood beside her, gazing at the valley that was slowly filling with the wolves' activity.

"Everyone is waiting for you."

Aurelia finally turned around.

"For what?"

Lucien raised an eyebrow slightly.

"To make sure the Luna who just defeated the continent's strongest Alpha doesn't faint in front of them."

Aurelia laughed softly.

Her voice was light, but weariness was still clearly audible.

On the other side of the valley, Darius was helping several Ironclaw warriors lift a large boulder that was pinning one of the wounded wolves.

"Push a little more!" he shouted.

With one powerful heave, the stone finally shifted.

The wolf trapped beneath was pulled free.

Darius let out a long breath.

"Still alive."

He patted the warrior's shoulder.

"Lucky."

Cassian emerged from the shadows behind him.

"It's rare to see you act like a healer."

Darius scoffed.

"If I were a healer, all my patients would die after being cursed out first."

Cassian laughed softly.

But his eyes then turned toward the center of the valley.

Toward Aurelia.

Alaric also stood not far from them.

His sword had been cleaned, but his face remained as serious as ever.

"The pack leaders are starting to gather."

Cassian nodded.

"Yes."

He smirked slightly.

"The first meeting of a new world."

Meanwhile, on another side of the valley, Torvald of Frostfang stood with several other pack elders.

He stared at Aurelia with an unreadable expression.

One of the elders beside him whispered softly,

"Are we really going to follow her?"

Torvald did not answer immediately.

He looked at the wolves in the valley.

Ironclaw.

North Ridge.

Frostfang.

They all worked together without orders.

Without threats.

Without domination.

Finally Torvald spoke softly,

"You saw what happened last night."

The elder nodded.

Torvald continued,

"In my lifetime, I have never seen wolves stand together like this."

He took a long breath.

"If that is not a sign of change…"

He looked at Aurelia again.

"…I don't know what is."

Before long, one by one the Alphas and pack leaders began walking toward the valley's center.

A large circle formed naturally.

No throne.

No platform.

Only earth cracked by the scars of battle.

Aurelia stood in the middle.

Lucien on one side.

Darius, Cassian, and Alaric on the other.

The Alphas from other packs stopped a few steps away from them.

The atmosphere grew tense once more.

But this time it was not because of war.

Rather, it was because of something far heavier.

A decision.

Torvald finally stepped forward.

He stopped right in front of Aurelia.

All eyes turned to them at once.

For a few seconds no one spoke.

Then Torvald knelt on one knee on the ground.

The movement surprised many wolves.

"I, Torvald of Frostfang," he said in a loud voice, "acknowledge your victory."

He bowed his head.

"And I acknowledge your right to lead a new pact among the packs."

Whispers immediately spread among the pack leaders.

Some looked approving.

Some were still hesitant.

But before anyone could speak—

Another Alpha stepped forward.

A woman with long black hair and sharp eyes.

"Alpha Mira of Stoneveil."

She stared at Aurelia for a few moments.

Then she too knelt.

"Our pack will stand with this pact."

One by one.

Pack leaders began to follow suit.

Not all knelt.

Some only bowed their heads as a sign of respect.

But one thing became clear.

The old world full of wars between packs was beginning to crumble.

Aurelia felt the weight of it.

Not the weight of power.

But the weight of responsibility.

Lucien saw the expression on her face.

He whispered softly,

"You can refuse."

Aurelia shook her head slowly.

"No."

She looked at the pack leaders standing before her.

"If I refuse now… all of this will mean nothing."

Darius crossed his arms over his chest.

"Then speak quickly."

Cassian grinned.

"Yes. Everyone's waiting for a historic speech."

Alaric simply gave a small nod.

Aurelia took a long breath.

The morning wind began to blow gently through the valley.

She stepped forward one pace.

All eyes were on her.

"What happened last night…"

She paused for a moment.

"…was not a victory for one person."

She pointed to the wolves in the valley.

"It was a choice we all made."

She looked at each Alpha one by one.

"For hundreds of years we have fought over territory."

"Over power."

"Over pride."

She bowed her head slightly.

"And too much blood has been spilled."

She lifted her head again.

"But if we truly want a new future…"

Her voice grew firmer.

"…then the world of wolves must change."

Silence filled the valley.

Aurelia continued,

"No more wars between packs for territory."

"No more massacres just for dominance."

She looked at all of them.

"Starting today… we will forge a new pact."

The dawn wind blew stronger.

The sun began to rise behind the mountains.

Its light fell over the broken valley.

But for the first time in a long while.

The place did not feel like a battlefield.

Rather, it felt like the beginning of something new.

And in the middle of that morning light.

The wolves began to realize one thing.

Their world had changed.
