Chapter 122 - CHAPTER 122

Silence enveloped the battlefield that had just subsided.

Shadow dust still lingered in the air, slowly fading away like the remnants of a nightmare unwilling to leave completely.

Aurelia stood amidst the destruction.

Before her.

Three figures whom she had once considered threats.

Now stood… waiting for her answer.

Ragnar with his hand outstretched, his wide grin unchanged, yet there was seriousness behind it.

Kael with a casual expression, but his eyes were sharp, observing every reaction from Aurelia.

And Orion.

Silent.

Yet that silence felt the heaviest of all.

"Blood Pact…" Aurelia repeated softly.

She knew.

This was not just an ordinary alliance.

It was deeper.

More dangerous.

More binding.

Ragnar nodded.

"Once bound, there is no turning back."

Kael added,

"No betrayal. No withdrawal."

Orion spoke softly,

"And no lies among those who are bound."

Aurelia stared at Ragnar's hand.

Then at Kael.

Then Orion.

In her mind, various possibilities swirled.

This alliance could become the greatest strength.

Or.

It could become chains that bind her forever.

She took a slow breath.

"Why me?"

Kael smiled slightly.

"Because you passed the test."

Ragnar smirked.

"And because you are strong."

Orion added,

"And because you chose the right path."

Aurelia narrowed her eyes.

"And what do you gain from this?"

Silence fell for a moment.

Then Kael replied,

"Stability."

Ragnar said,

"War."

Orion concluded with,

"Balance."

Different answers.

Yet complementary.

Aurelia fell silent for a moment.

She raised her hand.

Not to accept immediately.

But to hold them off.

"I have conditions."

Ragnar let out a small laugh.

"Of course."

Kael tilted his head.

"Speak."

Orion only stared.

Aurelia spoke calmly.

"This alliance will not stand on fear."

She looked at Ragnar.

"Not on strength alone."

Then at Kael.

"Not on manipulation."

And finally at Orion.

"And not on secrets that could destroy it from within."

Silence descended.

Ragnar did not laugh immediately.

Kael did not smirk immediately.

Orion did not reply immediately.

They looked at each other.

Ragnar took a breath.

"Difficult."

Kael smiled slightly.

"Risky."

Orion spoke softly,

"Yet… possible."

Aurelia did not lower her hand.

"If you cannot accept this…"

Her voice was calm.

"…then there will be no pact."

Silence again.

A few seconds felt like minutes.

Finally.

Ragnar laughed.

But this time it was not his usual laugh.

Deeper.

More sincere.

"HAHA…"

He shook his head.

"You really are different."

He looked at Aurelia.

"Very well."

He patted his own chest.

"I agree."

Kael let out a slow sigh.

"Always making everything more complicated."

Yet he still nodded.

"Fine."

Orion stared at Aurelia for a few more seconds.

He nodded slowly.

"I accept."

The decision was made.

Aurelia looked at Ragnar's hand once more.

She placed her hand on top of his.

One by one.

Kael and Orion also stacked their hands.

Four hands.

Four powers.

Four fates.

Ragnar smirked.

"Now for the fun part."

He bit the palm of his own hand.

Blood flowed.

Without hesitation.

Kael did the same.

Orion followed.

Aurelia paused for a moment.

She did it too.

A brief sting.

But she did not care.

Blood from all four of them began to drip.

And as the blood touched.

A circle of light appeared beneath their feet.

An ancient symbol formed.

Older than the Judgment Circle.

Deeper.

More… alive.

The ground trembled slightly.

The wind swirled.

The energy around them shifted.

Ragnar began to speak.

His voice deep.

"With my blood…"

Kael continued,

"With my shadow…"

Orion finished,

"With my soul…"

Aurelia looked at them.

Then spoke,

"With my Moonlight…"

All four together.

"We bind ourselves."

Light exploded.

BOOOOM.

Energy enveloped them.

Entered their bodies.

Flowed in their blood.

Bound something that could not be seen.

Yet could be felt.

A bond.

Fate.

Promise.

Aurelia felt something change.

Not just within her.

But also.

Her connection to them.

She could feel their presence.

Like fine threads connecting them.

Not confining.

But… always there.

The light slowly faded.

The circle disappeared.

And silence returned.

Ragnar pulled his hand back.

Looking at his palm, which had already healed.

"It is done."

Kael flexed his fingers.

"Interesting."

Orion looked at Aurelia.

"Do you feel it?"

Aurelia nodded slowly.

"Yes."

She could feel it.

If any one of them was hurt.

If any one of them was in danger.

The bond would react.

This was not just an alliance.

This… was a connection.

Ragnar smirked.

"Now we are not just allies."

Kael added,

"We are bound."

Orion spoke softly,

"As one force."

But.

Before they could continue.

A small tremor was felt in the ground.

Different from before.

More subtle.

But… more disturbing.

Aurelia immediately realized it.

"Something is wrong."

Kael narrowed his eyes.

"I feel it too."

Ragnar frowned.

"It is not from us."

Orion looked toward the horizon.

"And not from the Wraith."

Silence fell.

In the distance.

A red light appeared.

Not from the sky.

Not from the ground.

But… from something slowly rising.

Aurelia narrowed her eyes.

"What is that…"

Orion replied softly.

In a tone heavier than before.

"A bigger problem."

Ragnar smiled.

But this time.

There was no laughter.

"Good."

Kael sighed.

"Looks like we won't be getting any rest."

Aurelia stared at the red light.

The Blood Pact bond between the four of them still felt warm.

Just formed.

Yet the world had already given them the next test.

She took a slow breath.

Her eyes glowed golden again.

"If that's the case…"

Her voice was calm.

Yet full of determination.

"We face it together."

And in the distance.

The red light grew brighter.

As if something…

Had just awakened.

The night wind changed direction.

The cold that had only pierced the skin now crept deeper, touching something older than mere survival instinct.

Aurelia took one step forward.

Her eyes did not leave the red light in the distance.

It was not just energy.

It… was like a call.

Or perhaps

A warning.

The Blood Pact bond within her trembled slightly.

Not pain.

Not an immediate threat.

But like something trying… to disrupt the balance that had just been formed.

"Do you feel it?" Aurelia asked softly.

Kael nodded without hesitation.

"Like something is trying to read us."

Ragnar scoffed.

"I don't like that."

Orion kept staring straight ahead.

"Not reading."

He spoke softly.

"More like… responding."

Aurelia narrowed her eyes.

"Responding to what?"

Orion did not answer immediately.

But Kael spoke first.

"The Blood Pact."

He glanced at their hands one by one.

"We just created something unusual."

Ragnar smirked slightly.

"And something out there doesn't like it."

The red light suddenly pulsed.

Once.

Twice.

Like the heartbeat of a giant.

BOOM.

A subtle tremor spread through the ground.

But this time.

Not from beneath their feet.

But… from the distance.

Aurelia felt her chest tremble along with it.

As if there was resonance between her and the source of the light.

"This is not a coincidence…" she murmured.

She closed her eyes for a moment.

Trying to feel it.

Following the flow of energy.

And in an instant.

A vision appeared.

A brief flash.

Very fast.

Yet clear enough.

The ground cracked.

The sky split.

And something.

Rose from the darkness.

Aurelia opened her eyes immediately.

Her breath was slightly heavier.

Ragnar noticed right away.

"You saw something."

Not a question.

Aurelia nodded slowly.

"Not the Wraith."

She spoke softly.

"It is… older."

Kael raised an eyebrow.

"Older than the first war?"

Orion finally spoke.

"If that is true…"

He paused for a moment.

"…then we have a problem."

Ragnar let out a small laugh, but this time without spirit.

"Since when didn't we have a problem?"

But no one laughed.

Because this time.

They all felt it.

This was different.

The wind grew colder.

A thin mist began to appear again on the ground, but not like before.

This mist was more… heavy.

Slower.

As if creeping.

Aurelia looked down.

The Moon energy within her reacted automatically.

A faint golden light appeared around her.

Protecting.

Guarding.

Suddenly.

One of the Shadowland sentinels in the distance shouted.

"What is that?!"

All heads turned.

On the side of the battlefield that was beginning to clear.

The ground began to move.

Not cracking.

Not collapsing.

But… like breathing.

BOOM.

A section of the ground rose up.

Red cracks appeared.

The same light as in the distance.

But now.

Closer.

Ragnar immediately stepped forward.

"Now this is interesting."

Kael raised his hand slightly.

"Don't be reckless."

Orion stared sharply.

"This is not something we fully understand."

Aurelia did not move.

Her eyes were focused on the crack.

The energy within her… felt familiar.

Yet also foreign.

Like something she had felt before.

But in a different form.

The crack widened.

Slowly.

Emitting a sound like something… tearing.

CRACK.

The ground opened.

And from within.

A hand emerged.

Black.

But with glowing red veins.

As if lava flowed beneath its skin.

Aurelia immediately felt great pressure.

Her instinct screamed louder than ever before.

Danger.

Not just an enemy.

A threat.

Ragnar grinned widely.

But this time, his eyes were sharp.

"Finally something worthy."

Kael was ready.

His body slightly leaned forward.

Ready to move at any moment.

Orion spoke softly,

"Don't attack first."

Aurelia nodded.

She also felt it.

This was not something that could be attacked carelessly.

The hand gripped the ground.

Slowly.

Its figure began to emerge.

A large body.

Bigger than the previous Wraith commander.

Dark skin with glowing red cracks.

And when its face appeared.

Its eyes opened.

Red.

Yet different.

Deeper.

More… conscious.

The creature took its first breath.

As if it had just awakened from a long sleep.

The air around it immediately changed.

Heavier.

Hotter.

More… oppressive.

Aurelia felt her knees almost give way.

But she held on.

Did not step back.

Would not.

The creature looked around.

Then..

Its gaze stopped on Aurelia.

Right in her eyes.

A smile slowly appeared on its face.

But not like the Wraith.

More real.

More terrifying.

"Moon…"

Its voice was deep.

Like a rumble from the bowels of the earth.

Aurelia did not reply.

But the golden light in her eyes burned brighter.

The creature stepped fully out of the ground.

Each step left behind a red crack mark.

"It has been long…"

It spoke softly.

"…I have waited for your awakening."

Kael immediately whispered,

"He knows who you are."

Ragnar clenched his fists.

"Good."

Orion narrowed his eyes.

"This is not a coincidence."

Aurelia finally spoke.

"Who are you?"

The creature laughed softly.

A sound that made the ground tremble.

"Me?"

It slowly opened its hand.

Red energy swirled around it.

"I am something that even darkness fears to name."

It looked deeper at Aurelia.

"And you…"

Its smile widened.

"…are the key."

Silence fell.

But not a peaceful silence.

But rather.

The silence before a far greater storm arrives.

The Blood Pact bond within Aurelia trembled strongly.

As if warning.

This is not the end of the battle.

This..

Is just the beginning.

Aurelia took a slow breath.

Then stepped forward.

One step.

Her eyes did not waver.

"If I am the key…"

Her voice was calm.

Yet sharp.

"…then you are something that must be locked away again."

Ragnar laughed loudly.

"HAHA! That's what I wanted to hear!"

Kael smiled slightly.

"Now this is getting interesting."

Orion stood beside Aurelia.

Silent.

Yet ready.

The creature only smiled.

As if all this was entertainment to it.

"Very well, Moon…"

It raised its hand.

Red energy exploded.

"Prove it."

And that night.

The Shadowland trembled again.

Not because of shadows.

Not because of the Wraith.

But because something far more ancient.

Had truly awakened.
