"What were you trying to tell me?"
Rukiyo's question echoed in the air, followed by defeating silence.
She couldn't see the elf's lips pressing together, a flicker of unease passing through his expression as he stared at her, before he replied.
"I was trying to convince you to come with me." The elf stated, his protective stance slowly easing.
Seeing that the growling demon is already at the other side of the river, he deemed that there's no need for him to be so tense anymore.
Rukiyo nodded her head, accepting the elf's explanation.
As she did so, she let her boots fall to the ground with a soft thump and exhaled deeply through her nose, eyebrows furrowing as she contemplated her next words.
Blank immediately looked down at the source of the sound; his eyes sweeping over to the ground and saw the sight of her bare feet against the rough stones of the riverbank.
