"Hold on," Miss Hana said quickly, stepping forward and raising one hand to stop anyone from panicking. "Before you overreact, we can breathe properly here."
Kieran paused at that and took in a deliberate breath. He held it for a moment, as though testing the air in his lungs.
She was right. It was normal.
"The mana flow here is also stable," Hana added, extending her hand toward the sky as though feeling for something invisible in the atmosphere. "And we're not facing any sort of rapid dehydration or physical degradation."
She had just listed off a few conditions that made certain Worldshift breach types far more deadly than standard breaches.
Some Worldshift zones had atmospheres toxic to humans, that one couldn't breathe without suffocating within minutes.
Others had extreme temperatures that would cook you alive or freeze you solid depending on which part of the alien realm they had pulled from.
And some made mana unstable
