Later on that night…
A group of angry werewolves stood before the large gates leading into the Arcorys compound.
They looked furious, and very much unwilling to let the vampire standing on the other side of the gate enter.
Percival walked in between them as they parted for him until he reached the front of the gates.
And there, it was Wilson standing alone beyond the threshold. His eyes remained steady despite the hostility surrounding him.
"I don't know what has been going on," he said, "but I need you to understand something, my father wasn't part of them."
Percival looked at him for a second, then nodded. "I know."
Then he gestured inward, "Let him in."
The wolves stiffened at that, but Percival didn't look back at them. Instead, he turned and made his way back inside.
Wilson exhaled and walked in gently as the gates were opened for him.
In the last two days, he had gone back to confirm with his father, and it turned out exactly as he had said.
