She paused, then smiled. "So you didn't know."
Then she took another sip from her cup before continuing. "Well, there's little point in trying to hide it from you. As you know, I'm incapable of lying to you."
"I gave Izzgur a command, instructing him to take every outsider he brought with him and have them leave my kingdom."
"Hmm," Alter-Bella muttered.
At this point, she understood Morgana's position within the Demon Continent. She was its ruler.
After another quiet moment, Alter-Bella asked, "Why would you do that?"
Morgana's other fingers curled into a fist, although this could not seen as they were hidden by the folds of her robe.
Still maintaining that fake smile, she answered. "I had always known that Izzgur hadn't been in my kingdom for some time. But the day he returned, I suddenly felt your presence."
"I gave it some time, thinking perhaps it was merely a coincidence, or maybe the feeling would eventually fade. But it didn't. I could still feel your presence."
