After finally reaching the Tenth Layer of the Academy Dungeon, Louis, Mirai, and the rest of House Frostbane confronted the perpetrators of their misfortune. These were the ones who had trapped them here, stolen every boss they aimed to defeat, and ultimately faced them in the very building where the Final Boss of the dungeon should have awaited them.
However, the two were far more than mere agents of the Vultarn High Dominion, as Louis had feared. They were connected to the very Venerables Louis had been fighting, openly admitting they were their Apostles and carrying out their will. But that was not all.
A deeper truth emerged. Louis and Mirai realized that the strangeness of these characters came from the fact that both were their parallel selves, originating from a parallel universe, or rather, a different timeline.
