Confusion clouded Jessica's face. Catching the turmoil in her eyes, Doctor Stella met her gaze and said, "I heard that Mr. Murray is cruel. So I assumed it was where you get these bruises."
Doctor Stella suspected Chadrick had laid a hand on her. Finally understanding the doctor's assumption, Jessica smiled embarrassingly. "No, it's not him. I've gotten into a fight with my sister's friends. There are three of them, so I can barely protect myself."
"Oh, I see. I misunderstood," Doctor Stella sighed with relief. She hated watching a woman allow her partner to hurt her physically. Therefore, she offered, " I thought it was Mr. Murray because if you ever want to take legal action, I can recommend a great lawyer."
That surprised Jessica. She never heard someone go against a wealthy man like Chadrick.
