Chapter 100 - Chapter 100 Great, a Boss Spawned for Target Practice!

Chunk spawning is random.

This means that anything could appear on top.

Maybe a monster spawner, maybe a zombie, or a skeleton knight.

Even a boss wasn't out of the question.

The Snow Queen beside Galen Yu served as excellent proof of this.

If it weren't for random spawns, there wouldn't be such a massive block of ice providing cooling in the chunk at all times.

Now, just as the fog of the Third Crisis rolled in, a new boss had spawned by sheer coincidence.

An Ur-Ghast!

This was the massive ghast that stood atop high towers, overlooking the Dark Forest.

Its sobbing wails could be heard from afar, sounding particularly terrifying in the gloomy fog.

Obstructed vision was scary enough, with zombies liable to appear at any moment, but now the miserable wailing was added to the mix.

In an instant, the atmosphere of the blocky world shifted.

"Damn, why did it get so creepy?"

"This is getting scarier and scarier. Is this some kind of horror civilization?"

"This never happened before. When did Block People become so terrifying!"

"The Ur-Ghast sure picked a great time to show up. Mom, I'm too scared to watch!"

"Fog plus a ghast plus mutant zombies... Can the great Galen Yu still handle this?"

"I used to tell myself the zombies would just go to the Nether if they hit the portal, but now they're literally descending at any moment!"

"I don't know when a fireball might be spat out. I finally understand how the alliance players feel!"

"Psh, it's not scary at all. I'm just too lazy to get out of bed. I'll just pee the bed!"

"Not scary but you're afraid to get out of bed? You're all talk and no action."

Many viewers couldn't stand the atmosphere and wanted to stop watching, but they were worried about whether Galen Yu could survive.

Caught between fear and concern, they could only force themselves to keep watching.

In the Black House, the secretary whispered softly.

"Even lava couldn't stop them, yet Galen Yu solved it with portals?"

"Using teleportation as defense... what a novel idea. And..."

Noticing the weapons in the hands of the Guard Villagers, the secretary's expression turned strange.

"Sir, if I'm not mistaken, those things the Guard Villagers next to Galen Yu are holding... those are guns, right?"

The AK-47, the King of Rifles—no modern person was unfamiliar with it.

Recognizing it at a glance, the secretary was shocked.

Wasn't it supposed to be extremely difficult to obtain firearms?

Soren Park had finally managed to get lucky and find a double-barreled shotgun, and he was praised to the skies, considered a powerful ally by the Blonde Elder, causing his status in the alliance to skyrocket.

How did Galen Yu have one for every person?

Anyone could see that the King of Rifles was much more powerful than a double-barreled shotgun that only held two rounds and had a limited range.

The treasure they'd worked so hard for couldn't even compare to another person's villagers!

"Ha, hahahahaha!"

Startled by the sudden laughter, the secretary looked confused.

"Why are you laughing, sir?"

"I'm laughing at Galen Yu's arrogance; he's completely overestimating himself!"

Shaking his head with a chuckle, the Blonde Elder's face was full of confidence.

"Using Nether Portals as defense is indeed a novel idea, but it's just a clever trick—not something that holds up under real pressure!"

"It was proven back with Ronan Mountwell; Nether Portals are more style than substance. They look sturdy, but they're actually very fragile!"

"They might even accidentally go out under normal circumstances, and they're only meant for transport. Now, even an Ur-Ghast has appeared!"

He puffed out his chest, looking as if everything was under his control.

The Blonde Elder raised his arm, striking a classic, standard pose.

"Guns are nothing more than eye candy. Is ammunition cheap to make? How can he afford to waste it so casually?"

"I saw through it long ago!"

Now that a boss had appeared, how could Galen Yu's Nether Portal defense possibly last?

On the other hand, looking at them.

After the initial chaos, as they gradually grew accustomed to the intensity.

The players were finally able to steady their nerves and focus on dealing with the flying zombies.

Through testing, they learned that the flying machines had health bars.

As long as they broke it before it entered the chunk, those zombies were just ordinary zombies with a bit more health.

They could just let them fall into the lava and burn to death; there was nothing to worry about!

Even if a few occasionally made it inside the chunk.

Soren Park, who had been waiting for some time, lifted his shotgun, aimed at a head, and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

Anthropomorphic pixelated blood exploded, splattering across the blocks.

Triggering critical damage, a single shot could take down a zombie.

With their superior numbers, they quickly stabilized after getting through the initial phase.

The advantage was tilting in their favor!

"He gets it! We win!"

While that was said and it sounded somewhat reasonable.

Remembering the changes that had occurred after the previous bouts of laughter and Galen Yu's calm attitude.

The secretary couldn't shake an ominous feeling in his heart.

...

"Cool! Soren Park is awesome!"

"He's finally stepped up. One shot, one zombie—what a tough guy!"

"He's even fiercer than Mark. Who dares to say we're at the bottom now?"

"If anyone else talks trash, watch out or your head will get blown off!"

"I think Soren Park isn't any worse than Galen Yu right now, right?"

"Galen Yu this, Galen Yu that. The Nether Portal defense looks good, but now an Ur-Ghast has spawned nearby!"

"Ghasts are a hard counter to Nether Portals. Isn't it over for him?"

"A boss plus mutant zombies—the Sky Island is about to be overrun!"

Based on the few images from the Nether.

Especially with Ronan Mountwell's mess as a precedent.

The audience subconsciously assumed that ghasts countered Nether Portals and could easily blow up the teleporters.

Though he wouldn't be trapped in another world for a long time like Ronan Mountwell, suffering every day.

But destroying the Nether Portal meant the flying zombies could enter, posing a threat to the Sky Island.

Galen Yu's chunk was strong, but zombies and skeletons were infinite; they would never disappear.

As one side gained and the other lost, he would eventually be worn down to death!

"The Nether Portal is indeed very clever, but it's a shame an Ur-Ghast appeared!"

The smile that had just appeared vanished, and Headmaster Quill couldn't help but sigh; some things were just that coincidental.

Knowing this all too well, Galen Yu scanned his surroundings.

"A Ghast? A boss?"

He was stunned for a moment before realizing the reason.

There was none of the fear, surprise, or even extreme anger that the audience expected.

To the disappointment of those looking for entertainment.

Instead, his face was full of excitement and joy.

"Awesome! A boss spawned!"

Having just equipped new gear, he was thinking about what to use to test its power.

Ordinary zombies were too far away and scattered, and with the fog, finding them was a major hassle.

An Ur-Ghast was different.

This thing could fly and would easily track players over the rails; plus, its hitbox was massive.

It wouldn't be as troublesome to find as ordinary zombies.

What was all that about the Sky Island being overrun and falling to zombies?

Were they looking down on the King of Rifles equipped by the Guard Villagers?

Wasn't it basically just a practice target?

Gunpowder was currently scarce, so Galen Yu didn't let the villagers waste it. He took out his Tri-Bow first.

Following the sound of the Ur-Ghast, he fired a few arrows randomly into the surroundings to find its general location.

"It's to the west!"

Seeing the health bar fluctuate above his head, Galen Yu ordered the Guard Villagers to raise their weapons.

Ten AKs aimed in unison. Bang, bang, bang!

Tongues of fire spat out as a dense, orderly volley of bullets was fired toward the Ur-Ghast.

In the blink of an eye, the so-called boss hadn't even shown its face before its health dropped by more than half!
