Wrong, completely and utterly wrong!
It was already absurd enough to see a resurrected Architect in a tiny place like this, but now even their mob-killing efficiency couldn't keep up with him.
On the surface, it looked like a competition against zombies, but it was actually a direct comparison of their true strength.
Earlier, the Black Mage had been so confident that he was stronger than Galen Yu, completely disregarding the conditions. Only after the actual clash did he realize the truth.
Galen Yu didn't just have a wealth of powerful allies to rely on; his own individual strength was incomprehensibly high!
It was a stroke of luck that during his time tied to the wooden boat, he hadn't completely burned his bridges, out of gratitude for his life being saved.
In a one-on-one fight, even with magic at his disposal, the Black Mage wasn't certain he could defeat him.
The SlashBlade was just one of his tricks. Upon closer inspection, one could see that Galen Yu possessed a wide variety of other weapons.
There was the sniper rifle on the Architect's back, the Tri-Bow he pulled out occasionally to clear Skeletons, and even those negative status effects he took so much pride in.
Known as Black Magic, the damage dealt was one thing, but the most important aspect was the additional effects that set it apart from normal magic.
Effects like stun, nausea, and slowness weren't very apparent when hitting undead like zombies.
But if it were a living creature, they would have been tortured to death by those miscellaneous debuffs long ago.
Being very familiar with these things, the Black Mage could tell at a glance that the Skeleton's arrows carried similar effects.
While hitting Galen Yu would indeed inflict negative status effects, the moment he pulled out a bucket of milk...
He was effectively immune to everything!
Since none of his advantages worked against Galen Yu, what was the point of the Black Mage even trying to fight him?
Sharp-eyed viewers noticed something was wrong.
"It's a bit far, so I can't see clearly, but did the Black Mage just change his expression?"
"His attack frequency is slowing down. It looks like he's actually starting to give up!"
"Now that you mention it, he really was trying to compete with God Yu in mob-killing speed just now!"
"Holy crap, even the Black Mage can't match God Yu?"
"He's supposed to be a high-level Chunk creature. I thought he'd at least be able to suppress Galen Yu, but I never expected this!"
"You can't blame him. The Black Mage is strong, but Galen Yu is just built different!"
"True. Compared to the Alliance, their combined strength isn't even as powerful as a single one of his spells..."
Jokes aside, the audience generally acknowledged the Black Mage's power.
A single skill could insta-kill that many Crisis Zombies—something even the Snow Queen couldn't do. If those people from the Alliance met him, they would be toyed with until they broke.
Unfortunately, he had encountered Galen Yu, who had become even stronger than a high-level Chunk creature after only a single month of development!
"Hahahaha!"
Fries let out a hearty, satisfied laugh.
Seeing Kira Oakmoor's shock and the Black Mage's astonishment made him feel incredibly refreshed.
The Alliance couldn't compare, and now even the Black Mage—a high-level Chunk creature—had to look up to him!
This was the contestant from the Nine Provinces!
Basking in the shared glory, Fries felt immensely proud of Galen Yu.
But things were far from over.
Lying prone atop the Mob Farm, Kira Oakmoor swallowed hard.
"Soren Park, don't be afraid. It's just an Oodachi, it doesn't matter."
"Listen to me, really, don't be scared. It's nothing. We haven't fallen behind in progress!"
Despite his words, Kira Oakmoor's arms were trembling even more violently.
Clearly, the Dimensional Slash had left a massive trauma in his heart.
"No one has noticed us for now. I'm not afraid, Oakmoor, you need to calm down first."
Since he hadn't used SlashBlades much, Soren Park was shocked but didn't have as extreme a reaction.
"Like you said, they're both SlashBlades. Once you get used to it, you can use that move too. There's no need to be afraid!"
Under Soren Park's consolation, Kira Oakmoor finally regained some composure.
Griping his Oodachi tightly, he focused his mind on the area behind him.
"That's right, I can use this move too. I was just fooled by its appearance as a simple cold weapon before and didn't consider other attack methods."
He closed his eyes and felt carefully. The Oodachi indeed emitted an aura he hadn't sensed before.
Channeling his mind and body, he found that sensation after three seconds.
"Slash!"
The Dimensional Slash was unleashed, tearing a black hole into the space ahead.
It worked!
Just like the one Galen Yu used. Kira Oakmoor's eyes brightened.
As expected, if others could use it, so could he!
"The final gap has been closed. Now, there's no difference between me and Galen Yu!"
With his fighting spirit renewed, Kira Oakmoor looked into the distance.
Since they both mastered the Dimensional Slash, and his combat awareness was higher than Galen Yu's, this battle...
Was still worth a try!
Watching his eager expression, the bullet chat couldn't hold back anymore.
"We've got another expert here?"
"Seriously, does he really think God Yu only has an Oodachi?"
"It's normal he hasn't seen Galen Yu's full progress since he's been developing in the Alliance."
"He wants to duel again? Oakmoor, don't do it!"
"Let's just avoid his momentum for a while. We really can't win against that SlashBlade!"
"The strength of that Tsukumo is already through the roof, and he's still thinking about a samurai duel?"
"Give the Alliance a break, the Crisis Zombies haven't even been dealt with yet!"
"But speaking of which, God Yu already made the Tsukumo, so why is he still using the Oodachi?"
"It's a bit strange. Dimensional Slash is useful, but it's not *that* useful, is it?"
While worrying about Kira Oakmoor, some viewers were also confused.
Galen Yu's behavior was indeed a bit odd.
He wasn't using the Tsukumo to farm mobs, and he had already finished testing the blade...
The Nether Portal and rail designs were already completed, so Galen Yu didn't even need to do anything.
Then what was he still doing with the Oodachi?
"Something's not right."
The Blonde Elder realized there was a problem, but after thinking it through...
It was difficult to pinpoint exactly where the issue lay.
"The Tsukumo is already upgraded, and the mobs don't need clearing. The Black Mage's side is settled, so could it be..."
Realizing the answer, the Blonde Elder had an epiphany.
"I've got it!"
His sudden shout startled the secretary, pulling her from her daze for a few seconds.
"What is it now, sir?"
"Since the upgrade is finished and the Tsukumo is superior in every way, yet Galen Yu is still using the Oodachi, what does that prove?"
"What does it prove?"
Had the Blonde Elder really seen through some secret?
This was a massive mystery that even the experts didn't know and the world didn't yet understand.
The secretary was curious, only to hear the Blonde Elder's certain tone.
"It must be that Galen Yu likes using the Oodachi!"
"Every SlashBlade has different unique skills. The Tsukumo is indeed stronger and more convenient, but it lacks the Dimensional Slash skill."
"He must dislike that part, so he's using the Oodachi to kill zombies!"
It sounded like it might make sense.
But upon further thought, the secretary felt something was very wrong and asked instinctively.
"But sir, given the situation on the Sky Island, he doesn't need to clear mobs at all?"
"I know, it's easy to understand!"
Smiling, the Blonde Elder was extremely confident.
"Killing enemies causes the SlashBlade to undergo changes!"
The secretary's dazed eyes cleared even further. She looked at the Blonde Elder differently now.
I'll be damned, he might actually be right!
Not even the experts had proposed this theory, and yet it made perfect sense based on what the Blonde Elder said.
"Even the Samurai Nation hasn't discovered it. Look closely, what happened last time after the Oodachi's kill count exceeded a certain number?"
"Even without reaching an SSS-rank rating, its damage was boosted, and there was even sword qi!"
"Killing enemies is inseparably linked to the SlashBlade!"
He pulled up the playback. Upon closer inspection, it was exactly as the Blonde Elder described.
The Oodachi had undergone subtle changes after reaching the Thousand-kill mark; it was indeed hard to notice without looking carefully.
And that was the reason for the Blonde Elder's certainty!
"Could it be that the master was actually right?"
Her gaze changed completely. Meanwhile, on the Sky Island...
Galen Yu was silently calculating in his head.
"The new SlashBlade will be ready soon!"
