Mages from high-level chunks were masters of many spells.
Though much of that knowledge has been lost over time and their current legacy is a shadow of its former glory...
The wonders they can perform are still breathtaking.
Legend has it that a certain mage, who called himself 'God,' could destroy an entire continent at the wave of a hand and ruled as a tyrant in the large chunks.
He was eventually defeated by the forbidden weapon, the Infinity Sword.
The Wandering Mage felt that such a figure already stood at the absolute pinnacle of the world.
But now, even 'God' shouldn't be able to create something out of thin air like this infinite TNT machine, right?
"How on earth is this possible?"
With eyes full of doubt, the Wandering Mage's face was etched with astonishment.
The bullet chat caught his reaction clearly.
"Is the Wandering Mage actually scared?"
"Man, I thought mages were supposed to be all-knowing, but even he's shocked by God Yu!"
"I remember the Black Mage had that same look back then. Even the more experienced Wandering Mage is no different!"
"Terrifying. God Yu has the power to make two mages lose their composure in a row!"
"Does this mean even high-level chunks don't have the architecture God Yu has on Sky Island?"
"I thought this stuff was standard in high-level chunks. I guess not!"
"Heavens, does this mean God Yu is stronger than even the large chunks in some aspects?"
The questions reached everyone's ears clearly; the Wandering Mage's shock was plain to see.
When even high-level chunk residents like the Wandering Mage and the Black Mage are stunned, the significance is self-evident.
Redstone Cannons have apparently never even appeared in high-level chunks!
"Godly! The newcomer is putting the veterans to shame!"
"I lack the words to describe this, so I'll just say: Holy crap!"
"No wonder I couldn't understand Redstone; even the high-level chunks don't get it!"
"It's not my fault. God Yu is just way too powerful!"
"Yeah, even the Wandering Mage doesn't understand. There's no shame in not being able to learn it!"
Many people relaxed while marveling at the scene.
No wonder Redstone devices were so complex and difficult; even the high-level chunks lacked them.
It was perfectly normal that they couldn't grasp it!
"It's quite simple,"
Galen Yu explained with a smile.
"First you do this, then you do that, and finally, there you go!"
Galen Yu made a few gestures with his hands, but the Wandering Mage didn't understand a thing.
He only felt his mind growing more clouded.
"No wonder you could trap the Black Mage. Truly impressive!"
A thousand words of praise were condensed into that single compliment.
After showing the Wandering Mage the Redstone Cannon, they returned to the ground.
Seeing that he wasn't a swindler like the Black Mage—who charged an exorbitant fifty emeralds per word—Galen Yu felt much more casual.
"Do you know the Black Mage?" Galen Yu asked.
"Yes. It was a long time ago, when the earth still belonged to Sky Island. Later..."
"Disaster struck, bringing zombies, skeletons, and dragons. Sigh."
Speaking of the past, the Wandering Mage let out a deep sigh.
He had nothing to hide and spoke openly.
"Back then, there was no conflict and no chunk levels. Everyone lived on one Sky Island—until later."
"No one can say for sure what happened. I only know that certain entities descended and completely changed Sky Island."
"Chunks began to be divided, battles broke out, and everything started to become a mess."
Glancing at the Black Mage in the wooden boat, the Wandering Mage shook his head.
"It was then that we ended up on completely opposite sides."
Meeting the Wandering Mage's gaze, the Black Mage cursed.
"You bastard! That information would cost at least three hundred emeralds if I were the one telling it. How can you just give it away for free!"
The Black Mage was getting anxious.
He knew perfectly well that the reason Galen Yu kept him alive was largely due to his knowledge of the high-level chunks.
Otherwise, there would have been no need to spend so much time and effort pulling his chunk back; that knowledge was his only leverage.
As long as he was valuable, Galen Yu wouldn't kill him.
But now, the Wandering Mage was giving it all away for free. Once he lost his value...
As soon as the lead was untied and he was tossed out of Sky Island, he probably wouldn't survive the night.
He was truly panicking.
But the Wandering Mage simply ignored him and continued.
"That's all in the distant past. Let's talk about the present."
"You'll be in great danger after you advance to a Small Chunk. You've probably heard the Black Mage call you a 'Small Thrall.'"
"It's not meant as an insult; it's about what happens next."
With the Redstone Cannon, the Wandering Mage knew Galen Yu would easily survive the Crisis.
The Crisis was strong—the zombies could even evolve to place blocks—but they still lacked independent thought.
Even if Sky Island was overrun, one could just stand on the small platform of the Redstone Cannon.
He could still survive easily, without any pressure.
This was what Galen Yu had meant by preparing a backup plan.
Now, the pressure came from what followed.
"That is such precious, valuable information! How can you—?"
Knowing what the Wandering Mage was about to say, the Black Mage shouted to stop him.
Unfortunately, being trapped in the wooden boat for so long, his attempts were futile.
Outside the screen, the Blonde Elder perked up his ears.
The history of Sky Island was indeed too distant; knowing it didn't help much.
What he was waiting for was the content regarding the promotion from a Miniature Chunk to a Small Chunk!
This was what was truly useful to the Alliance.
The bullet chat thought of this too.
"He's always shouting 'Small Thrall.' I'm really curious about what that's about!"
"Is he finally going to explain? Looking forward to it!"
"He shouts it every day without explaining. Die, you riddle-monger!"
"The Wandering Mage is so kind. The Black Mage deserves to be hung in that wooden boat!"
"But wait, this is free info, not a trade. Can everyone else hear it too?"
"Crap! Is the Alliance going to get this for free?!"
"No! God Yu, quickly give him an emerald or something so it counts as a deal!"
Many were curious about the title, but then someone realized the problem.
Trades were different from non-trades; only the contestant could hear the details of a trade, but non-trades were broadcasted through the screen for everyone to hear.
It wouldn't matter if ordinary people knew, but if the Freedom Nation heard and warned Mark, they'd be getting it for free!
They wanted to warn Galen Yu, but it was too late.
The Wandering Mage spoke.
"It's a rule from the Dragons. On the surface, when you advance to a Small Chunk, you are at the same level as the Dragons of the Small Chunks."
"But above them, there are even more Dragons. Internal struggles are one thing, but once an outsider is involved..."
"Your threat won't just come from the Small Chunks, but from even higher up."
"I'm sorry. Although we are technically the rightful residents of Sky Island, we can barely protect ourselves now. It's hard for us to give you any effective help in this regard."
Saying this, the Wandering Mage showed a look of apology.
Getting this much information was already good enough. Galen Yu nodded.
"So, I have to face Dragons? Are there different types or distinctions?"
"Yes. The lowest tiers in the Small Chunks are occupied by Lightning Dragons, Fire Dragons, and Ice Dragons. Further up, there are rarer attributes like Light Dragons and Dark Dragons."
"There are even unique Dragons that fuse multiple attributes. They are even more terrifying!"
As he shared what he knew, the Wandering Mage didn't notice Galen Yu's expression gradually brightening.
What 'Evil Dragons,' what 'Chunk Wars.'
All those messy titles... weren't they just the mod he knew so well?
'It really is you, Ice and Fire!'
Without a hint of dejection or worry, Galen Yu was full of joy.
