Dragonsteel armor is one of the top-tier sets in the Ice and Fire mod. It's forged from Dragonsteel ingots and boasts incredibly high base stats.
With its superior physical defense and resistance to magic attacks like dragon breath, it's the end-game gear for Ice Dragon Knights.
In every sense, its defensive capabilities push the absolute limits of vanilla physical defense.
Besides its base armor value, which is more than one and a half times that of diamond, Dragonsteel armor has an absurdly high toughness rating for a single piece—comparable to entire sets from other mods.
This means that even when taking massive single-hit damage, a player wearing Dragonsteel gear will still benefit from significant damage reduction.
Forget magical creatures; take vanilla monsters for example.
A Creeper's point-blank explosion can instantly kill anyone, even those in a full set of iron armor.
Yet, against this set, that same blast would only deal 6 points of damage!
Furthermore, it possesses staggering durability, several times that of vanilla diamond armor, making it perfect for long, high-intensity battles.
However, the flaw of this physical-focused armor is obvious: its resistance to specialized attacks is poor.
Aside from limited protection against dragon breath, it offers no defense against fall damage, Potions of Harming, or similar attacks.
Fortunately, Galen Yu has many ways to compensate.
Flight via Elytra, the Peacock Feather Fan, enchantments...
Despite these minor flaws, it remains a powerhouse of a set.
Equipping it would grant Galen Yu a massive power boost!
The armor features a distinctive thick brown lining, unlike the chainmail lining found in Lightning Dragonsteel or Fire Dragonsteel armor.
This lining is the most unique aspect of the Dragonsteel series.

He stood perfectly still and let them attack. It took a long time for even half a heart to disappear from his health bar.
Its defensive performance was through the roof!
"Even an average person could face off against a Stage 3 dragon with this armor!"
This wasn't exaggeration; it was a fair assessment.
He returned to apply enchantments, layering on every Advanced Enchantment from his stockpile of books.
Looking at the shimmering, glowing armor, Galen Yu was very satisfied.
Zombies could no longer threaten him at all.
Even in the Crisis, he could walk through their ranks with impunity!
Looking up at the sky, Galen Yu was full of anticipation.
"Weren't they saying the Dragon Hunt is terrifying? Where are the new dragons?"

As symbols of natural elements, these crawling titans—whether fire or ice—had long been known as legends in human society.
But rumors spoke of another titan similar to them, one that lived only in the most exotic environments.
Those were the Lightning Dragons.
Possessing the power of thunder and the night, their lightning-charged dragon breath could turn anything to ash!
They were easy to distinguish by their appearance.
Like Fire and Ice Dragons, Lightning Dragons were bipedal reptiles with massive wings, long tails, spiked backs, and powerful jaws.
However, they had three pairs of backward-facing horns instead of two. The spikes on their backs were longer and taller, and their tails featured three pairs of long spines.
Males differed from females by their gradient-colored wings, whereas the females had more curved horns.
The four colors were: Amethyst, Black, Copper, and Azure.
Looking closely, the horns on this Lightning Dragon were noticeably more curved.
"A female dragon that can drop an egg!"
