Viola didn't have any money on her to take a cab, nor did she have a wolf she could shift into to get herself back faster. So rather than worry about not having a ride, she decided to walk all the way back instead, telling herself it would help her digest the big meal and finally give her the chance to tour the city properly and look around on foot.
She didn't hesitate as she stepped out of the restaurant and began walking down the busy streets, cars zooming past her and people filling the sidewalks, a few of them turning to give her curious looks as she passed by.
Many were trying to figure out whether she was the wolfless who had fought the Black Howlers or not, some of them even openly sniffing the air in an attempt to identify her scent. The elders had yet to make a public announcement of her being crowned Luna, but curiosity about her had already begun to spread like wildfire among the pack, and many eyes followed her every movement with undisguised interest.
