Her fingers moved with much more speed over the keys, playing her heart out while apologizing repeatedly to her sister between broken breaths.
"I am sorry, Ivy… I will find you if it's the last thing I do. I will give you back double the amount of everything you once gave me. I will give you my life if you ask for it…" she whispered softly, her heart breaking into pieces with every promise she made.
Viola played the piano for the rest of the day, to the point that her fingers were barely able to move anymore. They trembled uncontrollably, aching from overuse. Shaking and drenched in cold sweat, she finally decided to rest her head on the cold surface of the piano.
