Viola stopped halfway, hovering just inches from his face, her eyes subconsciously dropping to his lips as he moistened them with his tongue. That simple action sent a faint jolt through her and sparked a tiny shiver that made her gulp. He had pretty pink lips shaped like a cupid's bow, and when he licked them, they glistened moistly and impossibly shiny, and something funny happened inside her chest that made her heart give an odd little jump.
She quickly averted her gaze from his now-moistened lips and turned her eyes toward his cheek.
"No, darling, it has to be on the lips, not the cheek," Sebastian whispered breathlessly, having watched the movement of her eyes behind her glasses as if he knew what she was thinking. At his words, she looked at him, startled.
