The next morning when Viola woke up it was to the warmth of Sebastian's scent wrapped around her, but there was no Sebastian on the bed or anywhere in her room, and she felt her heart tighten at the absence of him. Had she dreamt of his presence? She could have sworn that someone had held her all through the night...
But then how had she ended up on the bed when she had been sure she'd slept in the living room? She couldn't have brought herself here without the memories, could she?
Viola looked around and tried to find the signs of him, but except for the scent and the crease on the pillow next to hers, he wasn't there, and her shoulders slumped slightly. He came and probably left before she woke up.
