"Wh-what the fuck happened to her? Ember!" He pulled her into his arms but her body had already gone stiff. "Sofia, what happened?!" He demanded of his wife, who stepped quickly forward shaking her head.
"I don't know, mi vida. I just came here and she told me to get you..." Sofia cried, her hand clasped over her mouth as she watched her husband grieve over the woman he had wanted to crown in her place.
"Call the doctor now!" he ordered his wife, but then belatedly remembered she was a useless fool and used the mind link to summon his men instead.
The doctor was brought in a few minutes later, along with Ember's parents, who looked anxious and horrified at their daughter's unmoving state as the doctor examined her.
