By evening, Hannah brought the Ghost's warning to Theron, Mimi, Bart, and Mike in the quiet back hall of the manor.
She kept her voice low, not wanting any of the servants or nearby villagers to catch wind of unease.
The Ghost had not spoken of fire or bloodshed, only of strangers gathering in the old stone ruins to the west, moving with quiet purpose before vanishing into the woods.
It was the kind of threat that did not roar, but lingered—and that made it all the more dangerous.
"The Ghost felt them gathering," Hannah said, her gaze steady as she looked between the others.
"Not a large group, but intentional. Some kind of ritual, from what little could be sensed. They didn't stay long, and they left no obvious chaos behind them."
