Mr. Gunter and Mrs. Konan stared at him, and rage surged within them like a huge wave, forcing them to stand up and point their arms at him.
"You murderous bastard!" Mrs. Konan roared.
"We trusted you, we even gave you food and supported your friendship, considering you to be someone worthy. How can you repay someone who trusted you like this?" Gunter did not lose control, but acted with restraint, yet his words were more accurate.
Edward couldn't even speak, as his mouth was gagged. But even if he could, he wouldn't.
All of this was meaningless, and he needed to see what the hell was going on. Who was the bastard who claimed that he killed Lander? And why was this little couple blaming him?
He had been trying for hours to think of something to say to the family by way of apology. He even considered using all his money to compensate them, even though he knew that wouldn't bring their son back.
And now it turns out that he is to blame? That he was the one who killed Lander?
