The "Artificial Earth" initiative was a massive side project undertaken during the construction of the Deep Space. Humanity had never been quite satisfied with the Noah's original ecosystem, so they had always harbored the ambition to drastically overhaul it. They wanted to transform the massive habitat into an exact replica of the real Earth!
According to the engineering blueprints, different sectors of the Precursor Ark would feature distinct natural environments: forests, oceans, rivers, and even simulated clouds and rain. Together, these vast biomes would form fully functional carbon and water cycles.
The boundless energy generated by their nuclear fusion reactors powered the stable operation of these massive ecosystems. After a long period of terraforming, the forests, rivers, clouds, and rain finally materialized, and the results were quite impressive.
However... the ocean was far from perfect.
