Under the current understanding of physics, excluding the Warp Drive itself, the absolute speed limit for transmitting information and observing the universe is the speed of light.
It is physically impossible to use a warp field to observe the surrounding universe...
"Therefore, all information in the universe is fundamentally delayed. Since both sides are bound by the speed of light for observation, it means that at the exact moment they see us, we will simultaneously see them. We are on equal footing!" Arthur Lambert shouted, slamming his fist onto the table as he stood up, his face flushed with excitement.
"A preemptive, invisible light-speed attack is completely impossible because they can't even see their target yet! How can you launch a precision light-speed strike while flying blind? Unless they possess some form of faster-than-light observation technology... and I don't even know what Tier of civilization could achieve that..."
