"We shouldn't waste any time. Come, beautiful lady—
for now, Mjolnir belongs to you."
Eager to return to Asgard, Thor placed the hammer on the ground and gestured for Kara to step forward.
"Do I really have to do this, Lucas?" Kara asked, confused.
She still didn't understand why Lucas wanted her to try lifting the hammer.
"Just give it a try. You might be pleasantly surprised," Clark said, as if he had already guessed Lucas's intention, choosing not to expose it outright.
"Hey, Kara, I know what's going on—let me explain."
At some point, Tony had sidled over. He raised a hand, then leaned in and whispered rapidly into Kara's ear.
Lucas watched Tony walk away afterward, standing to the side and struggling not to laugh.
Although he could hear everything, out of courtesy—and respect for Kara—he had deliberately blocked his hearing.
"Lucas, I really didn't expect you'd use this method just because you were too embarrassed to ask me directly,"
Kara said with a slight frown.
Then she bent down and grasped Mjolnir's handle.
In an instant, every Asgardian focused their gaze on her.
Clack!
As casually as lifting a toy, Kara raised the hammer with ease.
"Oh! By Odin above—All-Father of the gods!"
The Warriors Three and Lady Sif exclaimed in shock.
This was the second time today they had witnessed a third person lift Asgard's divine weapon.
As for Thor—his eyes were completely unfocused.
It felt like he had already forced himself to forgive…
only to watch her appear in someone else's hands again.
And worse—
he had personally asked for it.
This was… beyond awful.
"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Kara asked, puzzled.
"Is lifting it really that strange?"
The next moment, she sensed a wave of consciousness flowing from Mjolnir—
intimate, affectionate, as if greeting someone deeply familiar.
High above, dark clouds gathered once more.
Lightning roiled and surged, converging directly above Kara.
BOOM—!
A bolt of lightning struck her.
When the light faded, Kara was no longer wearing her blue-and-red suit.
Instead, she stood clad in silver scale armor, adorned with a flowing crimson cape.
"Oh~!" Kara gasped in surprise.
"This is… Thor's armor!"
"what the actual fuck just happened…!"
The Warriors Three and Lady Sif were utterly speechless.
Clark wielding Mjolnir had already been shocking enough—but this was on another level.
Mjolnir had bestowed the Thor Armor upon Kara.
A privilege that, throughout history, only Thor himself had ever received.
Even the hammer's first owner—that terrifying woman—had never been granted such recognition.
Kara admired the exquisitely crafted armor on her body and found herself genuinely liking it.
"Hey—Lucas, Clark, Tony, Phastos—do I look good?"
As she spoke, she even spun in place.
"Beautiful!"
"Absolutely stunning!"
"The most beautiful woman I've ever seen!"
"Truly breathtaking!"
Everyone showered her with—well, not flattery—
sincere praise.
"She reminds me of the Valkyrie Legion,"
even the Asgardians murmured in awe.
"She keeps reaching out to me… saying she likes me."
Kara looked at the softly glowing Mjolnir in her hand, then turned to Lucas, puzzled.
"Isn't this… a little inappropriate?"
"No—Mjolnir, how could you do this to me?!"
Thor's eyes grew misty, like a father forced to hand his grown daughter over to another man.
"Hey, brother, there's no need to be like that."
Lucas walked over and patted Thor on the shoulder.
"You saw it yourself. Kara's spirit and character have earned Mjolnir's recognition."
Thor turned, glaring at Lucas with resentment.
"I know. Which means I've fulfilled your first condition. So—can she return my Mjolnir now?"
Kara stepped forward, intending to hand the hammer back.
But the moment she reached out—
Mjolnir spun in midair and gently brushed against Kara's arm.
Everyone's expressions changed instantly.
"Mjolnir, what are you doing? Come back to me!"
Thor whispered urgently, mortified beyond measure.
Instead, Mjolnir flew behind Kara and hid there.
"Mjolnir!" Thor was panicking now.
"What kind of attitude is that?!"
The hammer hummed and flashed.
Kara's expression turned strange.
"She says… you spend all day fighting, drinking, and brawling. When it's over, you toss her aside, fall asleep, and repeat the same routine."
"She says you've never once asked whether she was injured in battle."
"She feels she has no place in your heart anymore… and doesn't want to see you again."
The entire area fell into dead silence.
Even Coulson, who had approached after sensing the battle's end, wore a deeply awkward expression.
"No—that's not true!" Thor shook his head frantically.
"I've been with Mjolnir for over a thousand years! We were inseparable!"
"She's half my life!"
Mjolnir vibrated again—this time more violently, flashing brighter than before.
To Lucas, it felt exactly like an enraged woman listing every grievance she had ever endured.
Kara stared at Thor with a complicated look.
"These are her exact words:
'You're a drunkard who only knows how to fight and brawl. You haven't changed in a thousand years.'"
"'You've never even bothered to maintain me once. To you, I'm nothing more than a weapon!'"
Ooooh—
Everyone's gaze toward Thor changed instantly—
"No! That's not true! It's not like that!"
Thor was utterly miserable.
When had the bold, carefree god of thunder ever faced this kind of situation?
Nearby, Lady Sif covered her mouth, retreating behind the Warriors Three as she struggled not to laugh.
"What are you doing, Sif?" Volstagg asked, puzzled.
"N-nothing," she replied, barely holding it together.
In desperation, Thor suddenly struck upon an idea.
He raised his right fist solemnly.
"Mjolnir, I swear I'll change. I'll treat you better from now on."
Then he declared gravely,
"I swear in the name of Thor Odinson,
my father Odin Borson,
and my grandfather Bor Burison!"
Mjolnir hesitated—
then slowly floated back in front of Thor.
"So… come back to me, Mjolnir," Thor said emotionally.
BANG!
Right in front of everyone—
Mjolnir smashed squarely into Thor's face.
"Ohhh—!"
The crowd erupted in shocked gasps.
