"Why can't we infiltrate that ship directly? The general's access key grants the highest level of authority, second only to the Council of Elders."
Within the Kryptonian formation, a short-haired woman in combat armor stepped forward and voiced her question.
Claire looked at her and shook her head.
"Nora, I'm ninety percent certain that Jor-El's artificial intelligence is aboard that ship."
"That is the scientists' usual approach—they always leave contingencies."
Beside her, Jax nodded in agreement.
"The El bloodline never relies on a single safeguard. I strongly advise caution."
Zod narrowed his eyes.
"So your proposal is for us to hold off Kal and Kara while you commandeer the ship?"
"Yes, General," Claire replied.
"I've already confirmed the locations of Faora and Lias. I will dispatch one or two people to rescue them."
Zod frowned slightly.
"Will one or two be enough? I suspect the enemy may have prepared a trap."
Claire smiled confidently.
"General, at present, only Kal and Kara on Earth are capable of stopping us."
"With our current physical enhancements, ordinary traps are meaningless."
"Our objective is extraction, not annihilation."
"And if the rescue succeeds, Faora and Lias will immediately become combat-ready reinforcements—already adapted to Earth's atmosphere."
"Moreover, if they attempt to intercept me, wouldn't that make it easier for you to retrieve the Genesis Chamber and return it to the mothership?"
Zod nodded, clapping his hands once.
"Excellent. As expected of the top graduate of the Command Academy. A tightly linked plan—well done."
He then turned to Jax.
"Does extracting the Central Codex require Kal to remain alive?"
Jax shook his head.
"No, General. The Codex's genetic data is embedded within his cellular structure."
"As long as his body isn't completely destroyed, extraction is possible."
"Of course, keeping him alive would be preferable."
"I look forward to Jor-El's son witnessing the rebirth of Krypton in his father's place."
Zod rose to his feet.
"Very well. Execute Claire's plan."
"Remember what truly matters in this mission."
"For the future of New Krypton—for the day we become legends to our descendants—fight!"

Hell Planet
Boom!
A figure slammed into the ground like a meteor, carving a crater several meters deep.
Moments later, the figure leapt back out.
"These things really are endless!"
Lucas twisted his neck and brushed dust from his clothes.
Looking ahead at the pitch-black Night Zone—where countless monsters surged toward him—he felt a headache coming on.
He brought his palms together at his chest. Vast energy rapidly condensed, forming a compressed energy sphere.
With a forceful thrust, waves of half-meter-wide shock blasts surged forward, crossing dozens of meters in an instant and colliding with the monster horde.
Brilliant light illuminated the Night Zone.
Even in near-vacuum conditions, the violent energy detonation produced terrifying shockwaves.
Rubble and debris shot hundreds of meters into the air—only to be dragged back down by the planet's immense gravity.
Lucas had been on this planet for nearly two months.
Aside from the first two days adapting to gravity, every day since had been spent fighting.
There was nothing else to do—no entertainment, no distractions.
Sleep, hunt monsters, repeat.
To replenish his internal energy, he had to venture into the Night Zone, hunt these creatures, and consume their flesh.
The taste was monotonous without seasoning, but strangely, the meat naturally carried salty, sweet, bitter, and spicy flavors.
Lucas had spent several sleepless nights pondering why.
Even more remarkable was the nutrition—it surpassed even Asgardian fare.
On a planet with such extreme gravity, survival itself required monstrous physical strength or massive energy reserves.
Now, Lucas had fully adapted.
Even in the Night Zone's deepest regions—where gravity reached 120 times normal—he could move freely.
His strength had grown accordingly.
From struggling against a single scorpion-like beast at first, he could now battle dozens at once—and kill several.
Boom!
A body flew past him and slammed into the ground behind.
Lucas's thoughts snapped back.
The figure flipped upright, revealing a graceful silhouette.
"Hela, how about taking a break?" Lucas asked, glancing at her slightly disheveled state.
"No need. I'm not tired!" Hela snapped, gripping her sword and charging back into battle.
Lucas sighed.
"Is this really necessary…?"
Ever since arriving on this planet, the elegant, ruthless Goddess of Death from legend had vanished.
In her place was a stubborn, fiercely competitive Hela—determined to surpass Lucas no matter what.
To be fair, Asgardians truly were built different.
With bodies already denser than humans and divine power backing her, Hela adapted to the planet's gravity almost as quickly as Lucas.
Now she could fight in the Night Zone for extended periods.
Her combat style favored wide-area devastation, though she paid dearly at first—these monsters were far from fodder.
Suddenly—
A scream.
Lucas looked up.
A towering creature—over ten meters tall—covered in massive tentacles, its body resembling a grotesque slug—had ensnared Hela.
Several tentacles bound her tightly.
Her sword was gone.
She couldn't move.
"What the hell is that?"
In two months, Lucas had slain dozens of monster species—but never seen this one.
Seeing Hela captured, Lucas's aura erupted violently as he vanished in a flash.
Before reaching it, he fired a ki blast.
The explosion tore a chunk out of the creature's body.
But instantly, dozens of tentacles lashed toward him.
Several scooped up nearby monsters and flung them onto the creature's body.
Lucas watched in shock as the monsters were absorbed, dissolved within seconds.
The wound he'd just inflicted regenerated instantly.
Lucas frowned—but seeing Hela, his aura flared even stronger as he charged again.
Tentacles whipped at supersonic speed.
Lucas dodged, each strike carving trenches into the ground.
Mid-dodge, he continued charging energy, carefully observing the creature.
"Now!"
Blue light erupted.
Lucas vanished—reappearing beside Hela.
A crescent-shaped ki blade flashed, severing every tentacle binding her.
He pulled her into his arms and flashed away again.
"Haha—first try success!"
But—
"Put me down!" Hela snapped.
Lucas looked down.
Ah.
The creature's corrosive fluids had soaked her clothes, Erasing it completely.
He gently set her down and… coughed.
Hela summoned new attire instantly, her expression icy once more.
"You're charging back in?" Lucas asked.
"That thing humiliated me," Hela growled. "It dies."
Dark metallic spikes erupted from the ground as her rage peaked.
Black spears rained down—piercing the creature.
But the spears melted inside its body.
Hela's fury intensified.
She drove massive black thorns straight into it, shattering its form.
Lucas's expression changed.
"Bad idea—!"
The fragmented body reformed—wrapping around the thorns and engulfing Hela.
Her deathly divine power burned away rapidly inside the creature.
Lucas didn't hesitate.
He smashed straight into it—tearing through its body and grabbing Hela.
But the creature's interior turned viscous, trapping them.
"That's enough."
Lucas's eyes burned.
Energy compressed violently—then detonated.
He became a blazing sphere of light.
A sun erupted in the Night Zone.
The creature tried to liquefy and flee—but the expanding light engulfed it entirely.
Hundreds of monsters were swallowed as well.
From space, it would look like a grape-sized sun igniting on a dark planet.
Three minutes passed.
The light faded.
Hela carried Lucas toward the Light Zone.
"You idiot!" she shouted, panic replacing pride. "That wasn't how you save someone!"
She set him down gently.
For once, the Goddess of Death looked afraid.
Then—
A massive shadow fell over them.
Something enormous had arrived.
