"ROAR!!!"
Accompanied by an earth-shattering dragon's roar, Sadie's final Pokémon emerged from its Poké Ball.
Orange scales, bipedal stance, an appearance resembling a Western dragon, and most notably, a tail with a blazing flame burning at its tip.
Sadie's final Pokémon was none other than the popular Fire-type, one of the original Kanto starter evolutions—the magnificent Charizard.
[Name: Charizard]
[Type: Fire/Flying]
[Gender: Male]
[Energy Level: 46 (Professional Rank)]
[Potential: Purple]
[Ability: Blaze]
[Held Item: Charcoal]
[Known Moves: Ember, Smokescreen, Dragon Claw, Heat Wave, Dragon Breath, Fire Fang, Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Inferno, Aerial Ace, Dragon Tail, Counter, Overheat, Metal Claw, Air Cutter, Dragon Dance, Stomping Tantrum, Heat Crash, Dragon Rage...]
A Charizard significantly larger than average made its dramatic entrance.
It was difficult to gauge exactly how powerful this Charizard's Fire-type moves were at the moment, but judging from the sheer number of Dragon-type moves in its arsenal, one thing was clear—this Charizard possessed strong Dragon-type lineage! Not to mention, it even knew Dragon Dance!
From its statistics, this Charizard's strength appeared even greater than the Houndoom that had battled earlier, suggesting it was Sadie's ace Pokémon.
However, David didn't know that Sadie's actual starter Pokémon was the Houndoom that had just been defeated by Riolu—no, by Lucario.
This Charizard had evolved from a Charmander she'd caught later on, but clearly, Charizard's natural talent was superior, allowing it to catch up to and surpass its former senior, Houndoom.
"You've already won this match. Your Pokémon are exceptionally strong—you don't seem like a newcomer who just recently obtained their first Pokémon."
Sadie addressed David before the final battle began.
At this point, the outcome of the match was already evident. Given the strength David's Pokémon had displayed, even if Charizard managed to defeat this third Pokémon, it would definitely stand no chance against Lucario.
Not to mention there was still the unfathomable Zorua waiting in reserve.
Sadie had clearly lost this match, but she still hoped to conclude this three-on-three battle properly.
"Come back and rest for now, Lucario."
"Next, it's our partner's turn to shine."
Recalling the exhausted Lucario, David acknowledged that although it had won the match, it was clearly very tired.
The amplification from dual Aura energies wasn't easy to endure. Only Lucario's continuous rigorous training, coupled with its Aura resonance with David, allowed it to barely achieve such a feat.
But after the battle ended, its body was covered in small scratches, and when the Aura Link terminated and the energy within it was depleted, Lucario had nearly collapsed to the ground.
After recalling Lucario, David retrieved his final Poké Ball.
"For the last match, I'm counting on you, Kirlia!"
"Kirlia!"
A red light flashed, and Kirlia's figure materialized on the battlefield.
Sadie looked at the Shiny Kirlia that appeared before her, and she felt almost numb to surprises at this point.
Did it have to be this exceptional?!
A uniquely colored Zorua—of which there was currently only one known specimen in the world, whose true power remained unknown—and a Riolu whose rarity exceeded even that of pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Now, a Shiny Kirlia had appeared. Needless to say, it must be ridiculously powerful as well.
Typically, Shiny Pokémon were generally stronger than their regular counterparts. In the wild, Shiny Pokémon were very easily ostracized by their groups due to their different appearance, so they often lived in solitude.
Without the support of companions, they had to rely on their own superior strength to survive.
Due to their extreme rarity, Shiny Pokémon were typically worth several times more than normal specimens.
Not to mention, this was a Shiny Kirlia—an already incredibly rare Pokémon.
So after the Shiny Kirlia appeared, Sadie found herself speechless. What kind of background did this opponent have? Not a single one of his Pokémon was ordinary.
"Both sides in position. Battle begin!"
As Rotom finished announcing, Sadie immediately commanded, "Charizard, take to the air and use Dragon Rage!"
Upon hearing its Trainer's command, Charizard beat its wings powerfully and immediately soared into the air.
After locking onto its target, raging flames transformed into a burning orb of energy, firing directly toward Kirlia.
Dragon Rage manifested differently depending on which Pokémon used it. For example, Gyarados's Dragon Rage appeared as a massive twister, while this Charizard's version took the form of a fiery energy sphere.
"Psychic! Send it back!"
A pink light flashed in Kirlia's eyes, and an invisible psychic force swept outward, quickly seizing control of the fire orb heading toward it.
Under Psychic's control, the Dragon Rage expelled by Charizard was forcibly suspended in midair.
Watching this somewhat familiar scene unfold, David suddenly felt amused.
His current battle with Sadie resembled the match between Lance and Diantha from the anime.
The same Gardevoir evolutionary line and Charizard pairing—except his Kirlia was still one evolution away, making it a weaker version in terms of overall strength.
Then, the Dragon Rage—now enveloped in pink psychic energy—rapidly flew back toward Charizard.
"Charizard, quickly use Flamethrower to intercept it!"
"ROAR!"
A pillar of flame swept across the sky, destroying the Dragon Rage that Charizard itself had just released moments ago.
Following this, both sides engaged in an extended long-range exchange, but no matter how Sadie and Charizard attempted to attack, their efforts were easily nullified by Kirlia's Psychic.
"This is frustrating! I knew it—this Kirlia is just as troublesome as the others."
Sadie couldn't help but complain internally at the sight.
"You've been attacking for quite a while now. It's our turn, right, Kirlia?"
"Agile Meteor Beam!"
"What the—?"
Under Sadie's bewildered gaze, dazzling light began gathering in Kirlia's hands.
A moment later, before she could even process what was happening, a special Meteor Beam shimmering with moon-white radiance burst forth from Kirlia's palms.
It shot straight toward Charizard suspended in midair.
