Suddenly.
Zeig spun around!
He faced the Silvermane Guards below, raised his AK, and unleashed a burst of fire.
"Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat—!!"
Countless rounds poured out, startling the Guards into scattering.
"Clang-clang-clang-clang-clang—!!"
The trash bin behind was riddled with holes from the AK sweep.
Then, with a bang.
A figure burst upward, using the trash bin lid as a shield, rocketing straight into the sky like a missile.
He landed steadily in front of Zeig.
Sampo ran his hands through his blue hair and exclaimed in shock:
"No way, big bro—how did you even spot me?!"
Zeig slung the AK over his shoulder, a smirk curling his lips. "Just admit I'm awesome."
The surrounding Guards immediately surrounded Sampo.
"It's him!"
"This blue-hair—we've been trying to catch him forever!"
"Who'd have thought he's in league with those two suspicious outsiders. Damn it. He's lived in Belobog all this time, causing trouble was bad enough—but helping outsiders smash our rice bowls? Did a dog eat his conscience?!"
In an instant, a torrent of curses rained down on Sampo, leaving him utterly bewildered.
"No, Silvermane big bros—I'm innocent! I was just watching the show. You're pinning this hat on me way too fast!"
From the top of the steps, Zeig put on a stern face and barked at the Guards:
"Hurry, hurry—grab him! He's definitely an accomplice of those two thieves!"
Sampo's eyes widened:
"No way—in just a short while, how the hell did you become an officer for the Guards? Aren't you on the wrong team?!"
Zeig: "Nonsense. I'm a pure-blooded Belobog flower—of course I serve the boss."
Sampo: "Your face is thicker than mine."
"Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat—!!"
Bullets sprayed at Sampo's feet, forcing him to dodge frantically.
"Stop slandering me! Guards—take him down!" Zeig said excitedly.
"Yes, Lord Executor!" the Silvermane Guards shouted in unison, encircling Sampo and slowly tightening the ring.
Seeing the situation turn bad, Sampo immediately bolted.
With his agility, he actually broke through the dense net of Guards.
At the sight.
Zeig leaped down the steps with his AK and instantly commanded the Guards:
"Chase him fast—don't let this guy escape! Today he brings two outsiders to wreck Belobog's regime—tomorrow he might even steal the Supreme Guardian's underwear! Charge, charge—take him down!!"
"Understood, Lord Executor!!"
"Damn it—we must catch this guy!"
"Charge—for the glory of the Silvermane Guards!"
Thus, the entire group of Guards originally stationed with Zeig outside the hotel all rushed off to pursue Sampo.
The area outside the hotel became empty.
Only Zeig sat on the steps, listening to the commotion inside the building while quietly admiring Belobog's night view.
Suddenly.
A window on the side of the hotel shattered, and a pink-haired girl and a deadpan guy burst out.
The two fled desperately. As she ran, March 7th shouted back:
"We're really not terrorists—there must be some mistake!"
Dan Heng's brow furrowed tightly. "March, don't bother explaining. It's clearly the Supreme Guardian's orders—we trusted her too much."
While sprinting, March 7th asked:
"Why? Didn't she treat us as honored guests and say she'd help us find the Stellaron?"
Dan Heng shook his head gravely:
"I'm afraid that was all a lie. Let's escape to safety first."
Immediately after, Bronya led a large group of Guards leaping out the same side window.
"You can't escape—surrender!" Bronya said coldly.
The Guards equipped with rifles beside her continuously fired at the pair, forcing March 7th and Dan Heng to keep dodging while fleeing.
"Lady Bronya, they've entered the Rift zone!" one Silvermane Guard warned.
Bronya's brow tightened. "Have you seen Zeig? Where's the team he was leading?"
"Lord Executor just ordered the Guards to chase another accomplice—the cunning one called Sampo!"
"Sampo…" Bronya murmured. "So even that guy is an accomplice. He's full of tricks—their side is probably harder than ours. No need to wait—we'll enter the Rift first."
…
On the other side.
Sampo zigzagged left and right. Glancing back, he saw Zeig's group of Silvermane Guards still hot on his tail.
"Damn it—the Silvermane Guards are still chasing me!"
This batch of Guards wasn't like Gepard's gate team with multiple duties.
Their only order now was to catch Sampo—they had no other concerns.
Sampo dove into the crowd.
The large group of Silvermane Guards plunged in after him.
"Make way, make way—Silvermane Guards pursuing a fugitive—clear the path!" the lead Guard shouted.
The crowd immediately parted to both sides of the street, whispering among themselves.
"Mommy, look—it's that blue-hair big brother getting caught again!" a child pointed at Sampo and laughed heartily.
Many children were drawn to the scene. Some who didn't know Sampo saw him disheveled and panting and asked:
"Mommy, what kind of creature are the Guards chasing?"
"That's a loser, kiddo." The woman picked up her child and turned toward home. "If you don't study hard, you'll end up like that."
Sampo: "…"
"Chase fast—the blue-hair in the crowd is Sampo!"
Hearing this, Sampo quickly snatched a bowl of ice cream from a street vendor and smashed it on his head to cover his hair, continuing his escape.
"The one with the shifty eyes is Sampo!"
In his panicked flight, Sampo grabbed a pair of sunglasses from someone and put them on.
"The one with a head is Sampo!"
Sampo immediately…
"?"
He turned back and cursed:
"As if you don't have a head!"
Through streets and alleys, these Silvermane Guards pursued like mad dogs, relentless—as if they wouldn't stop until they caught Sampo.
"Damn it—why are you still chasing?! In the past, didn't you give up if you couldn't catch me?!"
A sweating Silvermane Guard laughed:
"Lord Executor only gave us that one order—this time, you won't fly away even with wings!"
Some Silvermane Guards grew more excited the longer they chased:
"Hahahaha, run—hahahaha—the more you run, the more I like it~"
Everyone: "…"
…
Rift.
Edge pathway.
March and Dan Heng twisted left and right—the Silvermane Guards behind still pursued relentlessly.
The pursuers here were exactly like those chasing Sampo—as if they wouldn't rest until they caught them today.
"Good heavens, they're way too persistent." March 7th said in shock.
"Probably because this is a direct order from the Supreme Guardian—so they're taking it very seriously." Dan Heng analyzed.
March 7th panted as she ran. "I just wonder how Zeig's doing. Good thing he didn't come with us back then."
Dan Heng nodded. "He's doing great—right across from us."
March 7th: "?"
She blankly turned back.
In her line of sight, leading the chase was Bronya—and right beside her, whispering something, was none other than Zeig.
After hearing Zeig out, Bronya nodded and quickened her pace.
Beside her.
Zeig held his AK, looked toward March and Dan Heng, fired several shots into the sky—bang bang—and shouted with feverish eyes:
"Hey, you thieves! Don't run!"
"?"
