The three were tied up tightly and thrown against the wall.
Among them, Dan Heng sat in the middle, still silent.
March 7th sat on the left, glaring viciously at the blue-haired guy next to her.
Sampo sat on the far right, wearing an awkward smile as he kept shifting his body toward the side with fewer Silvermane Guards.
But he was blocked by a male Silvermane Guard whose face was flushed red.
Sampo: "…"
That Silvermane Guard sat down next to Sampo, placed a hand on his "old cold leg," and stroked it back and forth with great enjoyment.
He said happily:
"Run~ why don't you run anymore? If it weren't for Lord Executor's divine strategy this time, I'm afraid I wouldn't have had the chance to touch you like this."
"W-What are you doing!" Sampo cried out in shock, hurriedly shifting away from this Silvermane Guard who seemed a little off.
Just as he was about to bump into Dan Heng, March 7th on his left said unhappily:
"Stay away from us!"
"…"
Sampo turned his head and pleaded with the strange Silvermane Guard:
"Look, that poker-faced guy over there is way more interesting than me. Why don't you go mess with him instead, okay?"
The guard shifted closer again, licked his lips, and said excitedly:
"No can do. I don't like that type."
Sampo: "…"
The rest of the Silvermane Guards, along with Bronya and a certain Zeig, had started a campfire and were resting in place.
"Executor Zeig, we have you to thank this time." Bronya reached out, touching the dancing flames, and smiled faintly at Zeig.
"Hehe, I don't deserve such praise… I don't deserve it." Zeig squatted beside Bronya, smiling awkwardly.
"I heard you even blocked a hidden arrow for an Silvermane Guard. Are you alright now?" Bronya asked with concern.
"I'm hurt—really hurt. My shoulder is practically crippled." Zeig gritted his teeth, appearing to be in great pain.
"Then let me massage it for you."
"Huh?"
In full view of everyone.
The firelight danced across Bronya's pretty face as she sat behind Zeig, gently massaging his shoulders.
March 7th stared in stunned disbelief.
"Damn, why are the two of us tied up while he gets this kind of treatment?"
Sampo raised his hand: "It's the three of us now."
"Get lost. We don't play with gays."
"…"
Sampo silently withdrew his hand, stuffed it back into the rope loop behind him, and fell into disarray alone.
On the other side, illuminated by the firelight, Bronya's profile appeared even clearer.
As she massaged Zeig's shoulders, she murmured:
"We've tried capturing Sampo before, but we always ended up with nothing."
Zeig waved his hand:
"Well, we caught him this time. How about we just execute him on the spot! To avoid any complications later."
As he spoke, he licked his lips, excitedly pulled out that AK from his coat.
Bronya: "…"
"That won't do." Bronya pushed the gun back. "He needs to be handed over for trial. We can't execute him privately."
Zeig pulled a pistol from his pocket, chambered a round. "Not even with my authority as Executor?"
This time, Bronya was stunned.
The current Zeig was on the same level as her.
While she strictly followed Belobog's laws, given their positions, privately executing a criminal… really wouldn't be a big deal.
At most, her mother would scold her a little.
"Anyway, it's not right." Bronya insisted.
Zeig helplessly put the pistol away: "When he regains his freedom and dances in front of you again, you won't think that way anymore."
The edge pathway at night was very quiet.
There were no residents left here, though occasionally a few Rift creatures would run over. The guards on watch would immediately eliminate them upon discovery.
"When do we head back?" Zeig asked. "We've caught everyone. If we don't leave soon, that blue-haired guy over there is gonna get defiled."
"Uh, what did you say?"
Bronya turned to look. One Silvermane Guard had already picked Sampo up and affectionately placed him on his own lap.
Sampo's face was pale; the guard's hand was still dishonestly groping around.
"Help! Prisoner abuse! Oh heavens, can't you control your men? I want to file a complaint, woo woo woo!" Sampo cried out in agony.
Bronya frowned. "What are you doing? Stop it at once and return to the team."
Upon hearing Bronya's order, the guard reluctantly lifted Sampo off his lap.
He stood up on all three legs and dejectedly returned to the group.
Sampo sat on the ground, curling up and shivering. "Save me… I don't want to stay here another second. Just lock me in prison, okay? I never want to see another Silvermane Guard again."
Bronya said sternly:
"Shush. Do you know how much effort we spent chasing the three of you?"
"Executor Zeig." Bronya suddenly called.
"Huh?" Zeig looked up in confusion.
"You head back to Fort Qlipoth first and report the capture results to Mother. Some of the Silvermane Guards haven't recovered yet. We'll rest a bit and follow later."
Hearing this.
Zeig sniffled, first glancing at Sampo in the distance.
Sampo still wore an awkward smile, but now he didn't dare move recklessly, obediently leaning against the wall.
He appeared firmly bound by the ropes.
Noticing Zeig's gaze, Sampo's smile grew even more awkward. He felt his chin itch, so he pulled out a hand and scratched it.
Zeig: "…"
Bronya: "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
Zeig: "No, I'll go report now. You all… safe travels."
With that, Zeig stood up, patted his clothes, and headed back the way he came.
Without any hesitation.
At this point, one Silvermane Guard asked in confusion, "Safe travels—isn't that something you say to people about to set off?"
He scratched his helmet. "What did Lord Executor mean by saying that?"
…
Time passed like electricity bills with a high-power air conditioner running 24 hours a day.
It's always gone before you know it.
Just as the sky began to lighten.
Zeig arrived in front of Fort Qlipoth.
The guards on duty saluted him one after another upon seeing him.
"Lord Executor, you've worked hard."
"Hey." Zeig nodded.
Early in the morning, Cocolia was already sitting at her desk.
But her mental state didn't look too great.
"Boss, I'm back!" Zeig shouted.
Cocolia looked down, frowning:
"Can't you speak a little quieter?"
Zeig nodded, then reported. The entire Fort Qlipoth was completely silent throughout.
"…"
"Are you telling it to the mosquitoes?" Cocolia frowned.
"Just tell me directly—did you catch them?"
"We did. Bronya will escort them up shortly."
Cocolia nodded.
"Good efficiency—catching them so quickly."
Zeig asked curiously:
"Boss, have your pupils gotten more purple?"
"You're seeing things." Cocolia brushed it off. "Gepard just had a fierce battle with Rift creatures. Go help heal them over there."
"Oh."
Zeig immediately left Fort Qlipoth and headed toward the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone.
After he left.
Inside Fort Qlipoth, Cocolia held her forehead, still looking worried.
She murmured:
"The time given to me… is running out."
…
"The time given to me is way too much, hahahaha!"
"Gepard, did I hear that right?" Zeig said excitedly to Gepard behind him. "After healing this place, I get the whole week off?"
Gepard nodded. "The Supreme Guardian has no other orders, so yes."
"Unless… there's an emergency."
"What kind of emergency?"
…
At that moment, a certain blue-haired man stretched comfortably and swaggered into Fort Qlipoth.
"Hey, this place is really grand, haha."
…
