Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: Little Eula and Little Kujou's Meeting

Finally, it was time for the old man's favorite part of the day—daily cooking.

He went straight into the kitchen, chatted with the person in charge, and quickly secured his own little cooking space.

Now came the moment to analyze tastes again.

Little Eula and the Kamisato family were somewhat similar—they both disliked greasy food and preferred lighter flavors, though each had their own preferences.

Eula leaned toward sweeter tastes, while Ayaka and Ayato's preferences were quite alike.

As for little Sara, even though the old man had asked when she first arrived, he couldn't really get a clear answer.

Just one sentence: "I'm not picky."

That left the old man unsure how to even comment on it.

In the end, after some thought, he decided to prepare a refined dinner in the style favored by Inazuma's Kamisato Clan.

Unfortunately, while the old man's cooking skills had improved significantly under little Eula's guidance, his technique still tended to be a bit rough around the edges.

Fortunately, his ability to analyze with Anemo elemental information was a huge help to the old man...

In an instant, gusts of wind filled the Kamisato household kitchen.

"Pots, pans, and ladles! Submit to me!"

"Awaken, master of the refrigerator!"

Since no one else was in the kitchen, the old man completely let loose.

At that very moment, the Kamisato father and son—who had been busy all day—along with little Eula, returned home.

The first thing little Eula did upon returning was rush over to check on the old man's progress with his studies.

What she saw instead was little Kujou Sara solemnly sweeping the Shura Anyakonsen-shou's room with a broom.

Little Sara paused for a moment when she noticed little Eula, then set the broom aside, bowed very politely, and greeted her.

"Good day, Miss Eula. My name is Kujou Sara. I have recently been favored by Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou and am training under his guidance. I will likely impose on you quite a bit in the near future. Please take good care of me."

Seeing Kujou Sara in the old man's quarters right away, little Eula didn't think anything strange. The old man had mentioned yesterday that he planned to "recruit this child for child labor."

Following Mondstadt noble etiquette, she returned the greeting by clenching her right fist and lightly touching her left chest (over the heart) while giving a slight nod.

"Greetings. I am Eula Lawrence of the Mondstadt Lawrence Clan, a knight who has followed the Shura Anyakonsen-shou... ah, for a very long time."

She had almost said "the old man's traveling companion" at first, but then reconsidered—now in Inazuma, and seeing how respectfully little Kujou Sara regarded the old man, Eula chose to rephrase.

"I am aware of Miss Eula's existence. To have followed Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou for so long, you must possess extraordinary qualities. In the future, I hope to learn much from you."

Little Sara took little Eula's hand, her tone utterly earnest.

Looking at little Sara, Eula couldn't help but recall a previous conversation with the old man.

"That child has something you lack. Tomorrow, when we meet the Raiden Shogun, I plan to pull her in for some child labor."

A child like this still wants to learn from me...

"No need to say that—progress comes little by little."

Eula smiled.

As it turned out, she really was quite taken with Kujou Sara's sincere and impeccably mannered demeanor.

The two quickly fell into pleasant conversation.

By then, the old man had also finished preparing his special dishes.

"Time to eat. Let's tidy up."

Seeing the head of the Kamisato family already seated at the dining table, the old man knew little Eula had returned.

He accurately predicted her whereabouts and returned to his study room first.

Little Sara stared blankly at the old man's adventurer appearance.

Where did my dignified Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou go?

How did he turn into this kindly, ordinary adventurer uncle you could find anywhere?
