Chapter 236 - Chapter 236: Manor-Baked Muffins

"This is Kujou Sara. She's my disciple, and she's a very serious and meticulous person."

The old uncle acted as the go-between for the children.

"Hello, big sister Sara!"

Yoimiya loved making friends as usual.

"Hello. I know you—Naganohara Yoimiya. Eula has mentioned you to me."

Little Sara nodded, appearing somewhat aloof—but this couldn't be helped. That was just her personality. She usually only handled things in a businesslike manner. Her friends little Ayato and little Eula were only made because of work reasons.

And back in the Kujou family, she hadn't managed to make any friends either. So this was the first time she met someone for non-work reasons. At first she only knew to nod to show she was listening, but then she felt just nodding wasn't polite enough, so she raised her hand and waved.

Hm, for a moment it looked quite awkward.

But clearly, Yoimiya didn't mind little Sara's lack of politeness at all and could perfectly sense the awkwardness of little Sara, who wasn't used to making friends.

"Mm-hmm! We've greeted each other, so that makes us friends now!"

And the old uncle could also tell that little Sara was introverted, so he first invited everyone to eat the dessert.

"Let's eat first. It'll get cold and won't stay fluffy if we wait."

Nothing brought people closer together more easily than everyone happily gathering to do one thing.

Manor-Baked Muffins were a Mondstadt dessert.

The ingredients used were raspberries, flour, and bird eggs.

The round baked muffins had a fragrant, soft, and fluffy texture when chewed, as if eating clouds.

Although this dish wasn't very famous, its deliciousness was in no way inferior to Golden Shrimp Balls, and it received high praise in many characters' menus.

"If you find the flavor too mild, you can add some jam. The original is raspberry jam, but I recommend sunset jam because it's sweeter and more fragrant."

This was the old uncle's suggestion while everyone ate the baked muffins.

Because it was the old uncle's recommendation, almost all three people present chose the sunset jam.

Why almost?

Because little Sara chose both—one half with each sauce.

"By the way, old uncle, how long can you stay out this time?"

Yoimiya ate the dessert prepared by the old uncle and felt it was really delicious. Although it wasn't as refined as big sister Eula's, it had its own unique flavor.

"This morning is still no problem. Later I have to go home for lunch."

Yoimiya calculated the time and found there was still quite a bit left.

"Then do you have any goals? Hehe, I can lead the way!"

Today's goal was actually quite simple: with the purpose of observation, first take the Raiden Shogun around to eat, drink, have fun, and stroll everywhere.

It could be said to have a bit of selfishness, right? The old uncle still hoped the Shogun could first understand the emotion of happiness.

Although Ei created the Raiden Shogun with the meaning that she should maintain eternity with an emotionless and resolute attitude,

the so-called emotionless wasn't innate lack of emotion, but reaching a balance after understanding all emotions.

Simply moving forward in emptiness—no matter how powerful at the beginning—would only get lost in hollow eternity with no direction in the end.

"Then, Yoimiya, after we finish eating, take us around nearby to find some fun places~"

The old uncle reached out and ruffled Yoimiya's head.

"Okay! But old uncle, why do I feel like you really like patting my head?"

Yoimiya didn't mind the old uncle patting her head. After all, his palm was very thick and solid, and patting her head always gave her a reassuring feeling.

She was just purely curious why adults liked patting kids' heads.
