Lucas got up and stretched. He went out to the balcony and found a world of white outside. He happily called out to Gengar, who was doing exercises beside him.
"It's snowing, Gengar."
Gengar stopped its movements and grinned, looking very excited as well.
Then, Lucas put on a coat, walked out to the backyard from the door, and looked up at the sky.
Flakes of pure white slowly drifted onto his face, icy and cool, before slowly melting away.
Lucas exhaled white mist. So this was snow?
The ground was already covered in a vast expanse of white, wrapped in silver. Only the flowers in the flowerbed Shauna had personally built in the garden were still in full bloom.
As Lucas looked up at the snowflakes falling from the sky, Gengar and Ninetales behind him exchanged a look and grinned mischievously. Then, they bent down to scoop up a clump of snow, rolled it into a ball, and snuck up behind Lucas. With one hand holding the Snowball and the other pulling back Lucas's collar, they dropped the Snowball inside.
Lucas felt something slide down his back, and the next second, he jumped up.
"Gengar!!!"
Lucas looked at Gengar, the culprit, who had the nerve to snicker. He bent down, grabbed a clump of snow, and similarly rolled it into a Snowball. Then, Gengar saw a section of its fat cheek cave in as the Snowball was bounced off by its cheek and fell to the ground.
Gengar: Dammit, he successfully pulled off a sneak attack!
Refusing to lose, Gengar picked up a Snowball and threw it directly at Lucas.
Lucas played around with Gengar for a while, then took the opportunity to lie down on the snowy ground.
He even rolled around a few times.

Lucas took Gengar back into the Breeding House. Mime Jr. served two cups of hot ginger water. Gengar frowned.

He shouted a word to the kitchen and then handed the cup to Mime Jr., teasing Mime Jr.'s little nose. After waiting for Gengar to finish drinking while holding its own nose, Mime Jr. left with the cups.
Ninetales came to Lucas's side and lay down. Its tails brushed the snowflakes off Lucas's body. Once he was clean, it covered Lucas with its tails.
It narrowed its eyes comfortably.
The ginger water was very effective, and Lucas soon started to sweat. Since Ninetales was helping him stay warm, Lucas felt quite cozy.
"It's snowing. What should we eat tonight, Gengar?"
"Gengar gar"
Eat something delicious!
Lucas thought for a moment. "How about we have another meal of Barbeque? To celebrate the snow today."
